I'm laughing at this because this is what my ex does for a living now, and the idea of him hauling chicken noodle soup and cling peaches all over the desert in 100 degree heat just made my day.

I looked at that link... it says:

Though thousands of local post offices will be participating in the program, some are unable to. To find out whether your letter carrier is participating, search the USPS website for the contact information for your local post office.

This seems like it's going to cause chaos. I picture millions of people hearing this story and not paying attention to that bolded part, and leaving boxes of foodstuffs all over their porches and then siccing Fido on the mail guys for leaving it there.
