So we accept, and wait and wait and wait, and THEN still no hockey :x

So we call back, and person #2 says, "oh, you don't have to pay for that channel, there must be something wrong with your box" We have TWO boxes!! How can they BOTH have the SAME problem??? So the best they would do is send out a service person this afternoon to "look into it" for us :x I looked around and didn't notice it on any other channels, but I will try harder next time just in case! Thanks! I can't believe you are IN Pittsburgh and had trouble finding the game

That's what bars are for Lynn.

See bars, gyms.... all kinds of places I COULD have gone :P The cable person is here now so maybe I'll have it next game. I'm not really sure how many bars here in the south actually show a hockey game. I don't think we are known for our hockey down here

Well, Florida does have two teams, one which won the Stanley Cup a few years ago, and Carolina, who just may win it this year. Raleigh, NC was rockin last night I tell ya.

Well, NC is almost north compared to here  Maybe I'll have to drag Melissa's butt to a Lightning game someday. Maybe when they play the Pens next season. I know I can get her to go if I tell her we can stay at the Hard Rock after!

Well, to me, I consider everything from Virginia down all one big assed state.

If only they'd won that war, maybe it would be

That's the problem. They think they won the war. Either that or they sure as Hell aren't accepting the outcome.

From what I gather, it's the latter.

Wow, I lived in Chambersburg when I was around 5 and 6 years old, and that is a VERY small city in central PA. That's not really near Pittsburgh. Hopefully that teen was just trying to talk big. It has to be scary to be any kind of celebrity these days though.

Hard Rock? Oh yeah, I'm there. I'll drag out my "cheerleader" garb   and scream "Go Lightning!", lol. I don't know crap about hockey, but for the lemon drops there after, who cares?

Oh and BTW that one vote up top for the Hurricanes was me. They looked lonely, and I just wanted to mess up the poll  :P

Tampa is the perfect place to learn hockey. It's like Hockey 101 there, as the announcer has to tell the uninformed crowd that the team is on a powerplay or when they are penalty killing. The game is just a small part of the entertainment there, as they have hot scantily clad women shoveling the ice during the tv time-outs...AND they sell those dippin' dots.

And I thought you'd be in it for the scantily clothed women  :P   Hockey is pretty easy to understand. It's similar to soccer, but on ice and much more exciting

That's pretty much my only reason for going to a White Sox game.

It's on, Dippin' Dots and Lemon Drops, let's go!

Just have to hope for none of that puck-to-the-jugular action  , and we're all good, lol.

They are awesome, and I only recently discovered them at Universal, lol. Our 3 year old didn't believe us when we told her it's ice cream, she looked at us like we were high after taking one spoonful

You're so myopic.

Pens aren't going to the finals, and neither is Anaheim nor Chicago.

WAS or Carolina vs Vancouver or Detroit.

I HATE Anaheim more than ever now.

The Wings have beaten Washington and Carolina in the finals. It would be fun to send Fedorov home for the sumer though. I have to admit I wish New Jersey was still in it. There's part of me that's still not over '95. Even 14 years later, revenge would still be sweet!

I feel the same way about the '92 Hawks/Penguins catastrophe, not that I will get to see a rematch this year... but still.

And thankfully Detroit won last night. Anaheim is starting to piss me off. I want to see them go down, because if Chicago falls out (and please don't let that happen!), then I'm backing Detroit, as always. And if Chicago stays in, I want to see a Chicago/Detroit conference final, because I'm way under my cursing average for the year and that would fix it pretty fast.

Careful, DEAN, Pens/Caps are possibly going 7 games, that works in the Pens favor, but I won't be surprised if the Caps take this, not one bit, and Vice Versa.
