Short Clip from Journey Documentary

Postby RocknRoll » Mon May 11, 2009 1:47 am

Found this on the AP site.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this, it reminds me of Frontiers and Beyond.

Does anyone know if that's the Journey warehouse? Also, this is clip 2. Has anyone seen clip 1?

I have a feeling that's not even close to the full documentary. That's just raw footage that will be edited into the whole thing. There is still much more of the story to be told and I hope there is a lot of historical footage ranging from the very beginning to where the band is now.

I was really attracted to the new Journey with Arnel, based on the fairytale story. I've always been a sucker for the "underdog makes good" story line. I must admit that Arnel has truely earned my respect.

VERY VERY VERY cool. It looks like it'll be pretty "Arnel-centric", but you know, he's the story this year for this band. The other story's already been told. It's a drag that all of the shitty internet comments make it back to him and that he in fact does see them. The guy looks like he has to work his ass off and it also looks like it's a pretty bittersweet thing for him.
Hope that it's more just how it was portrayed and that the guy isn't as lonely and bummed out as it appears on the surface.
Thanks for sharing this.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I see what you are saying. I definitely noticed a switch in his feelings once the band hit Asia. The first year must have been hard for him, but it looks like he's made the adjustment and seems to be having fun lately. Also, it doesn't seem like the band is running him as hard so far this year. If the rest of the band is smart, hopefully they'll work in a way to protect Arnel's health and feelings and find that fine balance. I'm sure it's tough being on the road and missing your family. Arnel seems like a really nice, down to earth guy.

Arnel's wife and son and stepdaughter are touring with him for the U.S. leg of the tour, so that will make a huge difference.

That's great! Where did you get that info? I heard Arnel say that was not possible, in an interview, but things may have changed. Arnel should have that latitude now that he has proven himself.

He said it in the SB a while back, and he mentioned it recently again when someone asked him and he said not the European leg but the US leg of the tour his family would be with him.

That was really fun to watch. I can't wait for it to be released.

I laughed really hard when Neal and Jon were cautioning Arnel about the wet stage and Jon says "CONSERVATIVE!" I have a feeling he doesn't like Arnel jumping around like he does.

Well it seems that they have learned something from the past......maybe they will treat him well and he will be able to continue on without the burnout.
