It's fantastic news for the band, but I seriously question the public's taste. There are... so... many better songs from Journey than DSB. Hell, Perry's and Schon's solo albums have better songs than DSB. Hell, Cain's solo albums probably have better songs than DSB.

Oh well. At least they listen to Journey.

Your kidding right? Schons or Perry's solo albums better than the signature song "Dont Stop Believing". You cant even compare those . I understand that many hardcore Journey fans are tired of hearing songs like OA, DSB, Faithfully...etc, but lets get realistic here, DSB is a great song. I do wish radio would actually play more songs from TBF, ROR, and stuff from the greg rolie era, but few do.

Isnt the news about DSB being the most downloaded song in history a bit of old news. I read something about this way back in november 2008.

Anyways as always its awesome news and Journey keeps on rockin!

I know. And had I thought for a second you weren't, I'd have phoned your wife, because I know that there's no one a man fears more than his wife.

I agree DSB is a really a hell or a song!!! It's just been way overplayed....and I am truly sick of it, when I know there are so many others that are there to listen to....but it is a classic :)

I believe, this was actually announced last November when it surpassed over 2 million downloads on I Tunes.

Sorry your wrong on that one. The point is "Dont Stop believing" is way more popular in American music than any of neil schon's or steve perry's solo material. It is the most downloaded song in history, shon's material isnt even on the radio much at all, and perry's solo stuff is awesome, but definetly did not receive the recognition or popularity of Journey's dont stop believen.

Personally i agree here with many that while dont stop believen is a great song, i think its really overplayed, and I would like to hear more of Journey's other hits like "still they ride", "Stone in love", "ill be alright without you", "girl cant help it", "message of love"...etc, but its neat to just see Journey reaching so many different fans with dont stop believen.

That news is from November of last year, right?
They are talking about it being the most downloaded catalog track for a song that was available before the digital age. Overall digital sales are a different category. It's like being on the A/C chart but then comparing it to the HOT 100 chart. A little bit misleading.
Either way, It's still a great accomplishment.
