Best songs: "Atom & Evil," "Fear," "Bible Black," "Turn Of The Screw" (my fave for now), "Neverwhere"

Dio sounds great. A 67 y.o. guy singing like that. Wow. Some of the vocal melodies come off samey, and a few songs structurally harken to "Computer God" and "After All (The Dead)" (both from the excellent Dehumanizer album). The drums sound pretty good — I mean how they sound in the mix, not Vinny's playing, which is always consistent if a bit "stock" on this album, but he brings the power required for this type of music. Iommi brings the riffs 'n' chunk; his best solo shows up on "Neverwhere" (the solo on "Atom & Evil" is very cool but too short!). The CD has a lot of bottom end, but Geezer's basslines don't quite stand out the way they usually do, and the gargantuan sound achieved by the drum and guitar tracks see to that ("Turn Of The Screw" is one exception). I'm sure Geez had a healthy amount of compression on his bass, too. That, and he doubles Iommi a lot. I'll get back to listening!

Heyy you did your homework!! very good boy  how much cost this cd there? ( i have to make sure they don't make a rip off here); you know Butler sound very well live..Appice show his age a little bit in the show...i guess studio can be very different of live sound...so after all do u recommend it? any final statement? ...the people want to know!

It's 13.99 @ Best Buy and comes with a bonus 22-minute DVD with interviews (haven't watched it, yet). I think it might have been 9.99 on the first day (or just online) but I'm not sure. I know you're going to like it; some songs sound like Dio solo (except for Iommi's solos) and the rest sound like Sabb/H&H, but I will say that while it's cool to have new music from these guys, the final product lacks the dynamics of the other three albums. There's a lot of compression. I'm sure the songs sound better live. Final statement? No te preocupes, soy niño muy bueno, diablita!

DioSabbath is simply the BEST in my book. RJD's voice and Iommi's guitar are tailor-made for each other. Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are masterpieces.

Agree with that...but where u left the first Sabbath albums uh?..my personal fav is Paranoid and Master of Reality
