In my opinion it seems like it would be in Journey's best interest to take a year off from touring, make people miss your music and concerts. If your out there all the time, people arent going to miss you and want to see you again.
Yeah, except those guys aren't getting any younger are they? So I guess they're making hay while the sun shines. Never can tell when one of the guys might need major surgery like a hip replacement for instance.
Jesus....hope Neal does not need anything done....then they could move on without him![]()

No Neal would spell the end. First in last out. Neal will be the one who turns off the lights after the last song is played.
This is so true. Journey isn't going to be Menudo with Myles Schon coming in and carrying the torch. I'm sure he wants to be famous in his own right, and not be seen as riding his Dad's coat tails. Steve Lukather's son Trevor is the same way.
When Neal calls it a day, I would think that Journey will be officially defunct.
Yeah Neal is the man, but I still think he is kidding himself...has been for awhile...it's not the same, never will be.
He's never said it was the same. He wanted the chance to go forward with the band and they are doing good. Perry for the last twelve years hasn't done much of anything until now. Hopefully, he will put the CD out and not backtrack. Perry didn't play with this band since '87 until TBF. He wouldn't have played again. Neal had to move forward. They are doing great for a band of this age with so many changes. Nobody is trying to pretend it's '83, especially Neal.
