Journey playing Journey songs can never be karaoke. Not their fault the original singer for most of the songs can't/won't tour. If Neal hung it up I wouldn't expect Perry to never sing the songs again, just like I don't expect Neal to hang it up because Nostildamus quit on the band and fans. The voice, like the guitar, is an instrument. One that Steve Perry has all but refused to admit was severely damaged.

I'd pay 4 figures to see them once for sure.

You already did if you count the bar bill.

I don't consider JSS, SA or AP karaoke with Journey. They brought their own flavor to the band. Arnel has new music with Journey. People don't have to like one or all of these singers performing old music with Journey, but karaoke -- never mind. Carry on. Karaoke, blah, blah, blah.

Air, hotel, liquor and tickets all totalled, I spent well over $3,000 last year. But that's ok because I won more that the first time in Vegas, and I won the second time in Vegas as well. :)

Hmmmm...aren't all these wonderings if Steve will sing again just as old? I think so. In fact, there is hardly anything posted on this board(Journey related) that hasn't already been dissected, vivisected, or any other 'sected'...ad nauseum.

Oh, BTW, I also think AP is karaoke.

If he did that would explain the recent earthquake.

Now that was priceless!!

I sure would pay $1000.00 and probably go as high at $3000. (as long as it ALL went to charity)

In that case you would need to forget about it. Nobody except Loons and Journey fans even know who Steve Perry is anymore. That's his fault.

It would be a corporate-Hollywood thing anyway. The very thing he always said he was against.

And I agree. Leave Journey alone.

How much of the $1000 is tax deductible??

If it was promised to be the last Journey show...ever...of any incarnation...hell ya...assuming at least 75% is deductible...just kidding. I'd go anyway. It would be worth almost that much to see all of nuts in one place at one time! I'd rather it be Vegas though Froy.

If they were to go back out on tour later with whomever else, probably not.

After reading here for a couple years.... instead of going to the concert I'll be happy to pay that much towards getting some men with some white coats in hand to round up the audience as they come out the door...and then help provide for a good evaluation and send in a yearly donation to the mental facility where some of y'all will be housed. :D

An Elvis sighting, but a real one, followed by a tour schedule wouldn't get this kind of looniness, and trust me, Elvis had some loons too.

Well now, Perry may not actually BE Journey, but without Perry (to a certain number of fans) Journey is like Gumbo with out the roux. It might be a nice soup, but it ain't Gumbo.

Yes...

I assume the $1000 is for regular seats. Most BIG shows have VIP seating tickets packages that include up front seating and a meet and greet of some sort. Fleetwood Mac had such a pkg deal here in ATL. M-N-G and front seats....$1500 each.

For a chance to see Steve Perry.....I'd not blink and max out my black AMX in a NewYork minute......
