I read several references to his nose this evening. Nothing out of the ordinary, and occasionally it's funny (as all those comments are) but I think most folks can tell the difference between playful making fun and just rudeness. I think that's what you were meaning in your original point of this thread, isn't it? Dunno why I'm a little sensitive to it tonight... maybe just my disappointment in the hoax.

Well, after reading what I just said, It sorts reminds me of The Breakfast Club or Spaceballs on network tv. Once all of the cursewords have been censored, it's a pretty shitty movie that no one wants to watch in the first place.....



So to that end, I will get serious for a minute. I think I see both sides of this argument. I see and respect that Andrew doesn't want this place to become a den of hatred towards the band....preventing positive discussion from taking foothold.

At the same time, This *is* a band that has brought this upon themselves, in spades...Deano's got a few worthy points. This band does NOT deserve the respect we are now required to thrust upon them while playing here. While I'll play by the rules when I'm here, I don't think throttling of discussion is ever a good thing....it'll take a few months to show it's negative-dividends, but in the end, one will be able to point a finger to this....

It's what killed the original back talk and turned it into shit. I will refrain from mentioning what I think it has done to some of the more recent journey sites on the internet...including some of my own.....

It really strikes a chord that there appears to be (or has been) a massive fear of Assoff's office and the PRBS (the Pinoy Race-Baiter Strike Force, that so effectively pissed it's cancer into the journey-net a few years ago)....That's just too bad.

It is what it is...but throttling the 'edge' of a mesg board that deals with a subject like this, never provides the intended result.....these laws of unintended consequences turned around and bitch slapped CJ for years.....there are better ways to deal with this...

Point A - correct

Point B - Not correct.

But you do get it....I just want dicussion (for or against) to be done without calling the band members names. It simply kills the point of the argument in the first place and dimishes any credibility to the point trying to be made.
