How long was the concert? Did Friga play one his famous solos? What was Arnel wearing? How did they sound?

The last song of the night was Lovin Touchin Squeezin with Weston Cain on the drums, Miles Schon on guitar, and Jonathan's daughter on vocals (can't remember her name). Watching Neal and Miles trade solos was very cool. The whole evening was just awesome and they are at the top of their game. Doubters must see a show. Arnel is truly amazing.

So, this is what I have gathered from the net so far. A decent turnout but not quite a sellout.
This was the only show I had any interest in following as it was for charity. I was hoping they'd have a full house, though with no new album and a flat economy, unless you're U2, sellouts may be the exception rather than the norm this year.
Since it's a charity event I thought they would play something inspiring like "What it takes to win" but the Dirty dozen seems to be back yet again judging by Dr. Fu's setlist, though seeing as this show was more for the people who volunteered their time to the cause, it's all good I suppose.

Arnel sounds great. I never ever ever tire of hearing Faithfully live. Probably my most played song from my Journey CDs and iPod.

Jonathan's daughter is Madison Cain..that girl can sing! WOWZAH, how awesome for you to see Miles & Neal play together..what a treat!

Beautiful pics, Linda! Especially the baloons..hope you had a blast.

You too Cheryl & Sarah!

I received several phone calls during the show, my friends were having a blast and the band sounded crazy good.

Can't wait for my 2 Pala shows in July! :D

I can take the heat ... cold makes me miserable in a hurry. :D

Sounds like I effed up big by skipping the last encore and missing the Journey kids in action, though. :(

Jon's keyboard intros to Open Arms (bleh) and Faithfully are still in there, and OA, Separate Ways, and Wheel in the Sky all have added stuff. I thought the extra licks in WITS were groovy but didn't recognize it, Cyndy. Does this mean I have to turn in my Loon card? 8)

Loud n Clear (Jess Harnell's band) has a song called Waiting for the Roar that is about how band members get addicted to the rush they get from having the crowd respond to their music. If that's true, the roar from last night's crowd in response to the opening bars to Don't Stop Believin' must have given the guys a major charge ... it was deafening.

If the show wasn't a sellout, it wasn't noticeable. It was a good crowd at the show, a good turnout for the walk, and I expect a highly successful event for the kids' charities in Sacramento.

And it was great to see all the chicas looking fabulous. :D Denver's next for me...

I got lucky and received several clear concert calls -- probably heard 1/4 of the show that way. So cool that Jon and Neal's kids played with them. That was something I really regret missing.

sorry you missed LTS! it was really warm & fuzzy seeing the kids playing up there. i can't blame you for bailing though. it was miserably cold for sacto - worse than shoreline, which is known to go from sunny 75 to windy 50 degrees during a show. my muscles are in pain from shivering 2 nights in a row!

a loon may not know the extra licks in WITS, but a real neal fan should. my sig & location may give you a hint. :)

Very impressive concert. It's cool that their children participated and that Arnel seems very friendly with all of them.

At least they are still playing 4 from Rev. But yeah, it's kinda sad when I see a much wider variety of songs at a Frontiers show than I ever will at a Journey show stateside.

Ah, skipped right over Where Did I Lose Your Love. Anyway, point still stands: Nice to see them remembering they put out an album a year ago (since they seem to forget about these kinda things in the new millennium within a year or so ). But still, throw us some TBF/Arrival bones here and there at the very least...
