I heard a woman singing, or at least attempting to sing, Don't Stop Believin in a club after leaving the Sommet Centre after the Journey/Arnel concert that was there. It was dreadful, ergo I'm not anticipating any other women singers.

idk, i think the lyrics for most journey songs are better suited to be sung by women... :P

I don't know, what do you think? Same shirt, sort of, same expression, sort of. Make her hair flat and she may be a good fit.

If we are looking for a new lead singer....can't we just ask for one of the old ones back?

Would be curious to hear what she would sound like on Journey material. She's definitely got the power and delivery for it. That gal's got a stunning voice.

How about Arnel's fellow country person, Charice?

Her debut single is #44 on the Hot 100 chart. Maybe Arnel should do a duet with her.

That one I agree with. If she can sing it without the hip hop inflections she uses. She's got an amazing voice.

Completely bad call imo. Her high range at times can be grating song after song after song. I own a few of her CDs and love a lot of her music, but nottttttttttt Journey.

For me no woman for lead singer of Journey.

Journey has not had a song on the Hot 100 chart since 1996. For Charice to get there on her debut is amazing.
People already have preconcieved notions when it comes to Journey music because they have been around for 30 years.
With Charice, it's all new, so she has a chance to really be a Superstar.

I don't think getting a woman to front Journey would work out at all. To me it's too much of a change for a male fronted band to switch to a female. Not even sure if this had ever been done before, does anyone know?

I really wish she will go that far and w/ her fanbase growing around the globe and w/ the proper guidance and good songs that fit her voice she has a big chance, i heard that her fan base are growing in china and HK, not a pinoy fans but a chinese fans............ wow!!!!!!!!! i hope her voice will not get burn and keep it for many, many yrs..............
