OT - E3 2009 -

Postby Behshad » Wed Jun 03, 2009 12:23 am

For all gamers out there, Microsoft introduced something AMAZING and REVOLUTIONARY in videgame history. Pushing Nintendo's Wii idea to the next level, where you can play games without a controller. Thats right, NO FUCKIN CONTROLLER:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oACt9R9z37U

This video shows how the future of gaming will be when you can interact with the game characters. just mindblowing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWnZOseA3Lw

EA also showed some pretty great stuff, amongst all Need For Speed Shift, APB , Saboteur and all their EA Sports franchise series,,,,,

Last but not least , the showed the music inspired game Brutal Legend. starring Ozzie, Lemmy, Lita Ford with Jack Black as the main character
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCABnqTpiSA

Today Nintendo & Sony will have their respective press confrences. Looks like it will be a great gaming fall/winter this year :)

No more bothering with moving your fingers and pressing buttons!

I have a question. Do children ever just go play outside anymore? :?:

No.

The one thing I like though is that they at least are making things more interactive to where kids are moving around and not sitting in place only moving their fingers. We play certain games as a family too, so it's can be a social thing to do too.

The one where you interact with a fake person though is a bit creepy

The best part is, this is just gonna be an accessory that will work with all exisiting XBOX360s :) so no need to shell out $600 for a new system !! 8)

I've got an elite. I use my older xbox 360 as an upcoverter for my PAL DVD's since It doesn't need to be chipped to play the backups.

No, B - I will watch it later on - I can't watch YouTube with people in the office... it sounds cool though.
I just took it and ran with my little one-woman comedy routine. Cuz, ya know, I do that.

These kids need this technology....it helps them with hand eye coordination. It aids in hearing as well. It helps flip those burgers faster, and just enough wrist action when emptying the fry basket. And god, a good videogamer knows just when to twist the salt shaker when applying it to my fries....

And maybe if more of these dweebs played video games....they'd have the hand-ear coordination to get my damn fast food order correct! But no, i have to continually bring my shit back in the place and ask WTF happened. And then leave them with a little, 'That's why you get paid minimum wage!'

So please, don't make fun of these video game systems.....they help our youth immensely.

I disagree. The repetitive nature of video games (stomping the same Goombas in the same places every time  or in 2009, shooting the same characters the same way and collecting the weapons in the same places, every time) teaches them that they need to do the same thing the same way every time, the way they're taught, and that's why when I ask for just a smidge of sour cream on the burrito, they ignore me, do what they've been trained to do, and flood the damn thing so that I have to go "Um, no... remake that please."

Video games are why you have to return food all the time.

What?
I disagree. Some people being dumb combined with different perceptions of proportions is why you have to get food remade, if you're one who gets food remade. Ya know, I used to eat mayo on sandwiches as if it were a dip. So if I were to make sandwiches for someone else, my idea of "little bit" "normal" and "extra" are going to be WAY different than someone who used the stuff sparingly.

I played video games quite often in the winters as a kid, doesn't mean that I'm some robotic neanderthal who can't make a burrito. Some people are just really picky about the exact amount, others more laid back. I get too much, I scrape it off. Plus those ladles they use to dollop it out with aren't helping matters. Hard to control glop from drizzle with that.

I know, but if you're gonna complain about it, at least get the real reason right. Has nothing to do with doing what they were taught in Burrito Basics 101, along with how to spell "bol". It's a, um... language barrier. :P

I agree. Just scrape the extra sour cream off because if you take it back up to the counter and tell them to make another one, the new one will have that extra "fromunda" cheese added to it. Ifyouknowwhatimean.
