also doing the theme for the new transformers movie.
Went to order their new album a few days ago from their site (big fan). They wanted 7.00 for shipping. I couldn't do it...
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

That's extortion. My DVD's I get from AmazonUK are cheaper to ship.

Back on topic. I like what I am hearing about the new Cheap Trick. And it seems they are taken a proactive merchandising route. I like the idea of selling the CD over time instead of all at once. But did anyone else catch the reference to an 8-track version???? I know vinyl has had a minor resurgence, but 8-track???

Seriously, that was technology that needed to die. Remember what leaving a tape on the dashboard during the summer would do to it?

CT is touring with Def Lep and Poison, so I'll get to hear some of the new stuff live next month.

Cheap Trick's last album was really good "Rockford".

Yes it was. This band is so tight. They've been doing this forever and they still do it well! They're not worried that they are playing to smaller audiences, even some free shows...it's in their blood and it's about the music and the fans.

They're still very popular in Japan. Most of their money earned the last 10 years comes from that market.

My band opened up for Cheap Trick at the AZ Bike Fest in April. The stage manager was kind of a jerk (before we even setup he told us to 'pack our shit and get off the stage by ____)...Despite that my wife was able to get a T-Shirt signed by them. Was a fun show and great crowd

I bit the bullet and dropped 19.00 on the CD. I love the band, have all their stuff and want to support them. For bands that I really dig, I'll pay for the music. For bands that're give or take, I probably won't.
