Typical of you making excuses...the Redwings were out played tonight. :D

It's not an excuse. Hossa and Z dump and try to chase and get interfered with. Suddenly it's a penalty late in the 3rd period when the Wings say "Fuck it" they're letting it go. Bullshit. Fuck Bettman and his little twink Crosby. All that and the Wings still almost come away with the win.

Almost come away with the win? It was 4-2 :?

You should just admit it and move on. You are sounding like a liberal democrat...always someone elses fault.

And hey...Pittsburgh can hit an empty net.

hahahahahaha. That's priceless.

Yeah, if the Wings would have hit an empty net they would have gotten extra credit?

NOTHING can ruin the rush from that win, NOT EVEN YOU :P :P

Good point. The Pens did a helluva job in the 2nd and ESP the 3rd to shutdown and reverse the tables on them and beat them at their own game. If we get more of that, this series is going F-A-R.

Was there any specific reason the game wasn't on national televison yesterday? I know it's hockey but come on, it's the championship series.
Fox sports, ESPN, nor NBC were broadcasting it here in L.A. unless it was on a pay channel that I didn't know about.

Hockey is just not as popular as other sports in this country for some reason. It is on Versus the nights it's not on NBC. NBC only has the games on the weekends. Versus is free, but you have to have a box that goes to that number.

Top organizations like VERSUS or the company's that own satellite or cable company's need their annual money, and show games only to people who pay to have a dish or Armstrong cable. It really is bullshit how this country needs their fuckin' money and screw many, many, many fans out of seeing their team in a Championship series. Money is nothing but power, and these top company's will stop at nothing to demand it.

It's not just Armstrong cable because I have Bright House and get Versus too. I think the cable companies have to feel they have a demand for the channel, and then they pick it up. I do think it's ridiculous that something like the NHL finals isn't available to EVERYONE. The NBA finals are on ABC the ENTIRE series. I still say part of it is popularity of the sport nationwide.

Can't imagine Canadian tv not carrying the NHL playoffs, no matter who is in it. Would be mass destruction, or at least full to the rafters.....sports bars.

During the second round of the playoffs, I think it was game 2, Comcast Sports Net (which carries most of the Blackhawks games) preempted the game for game 7 of the Bulls. Then Versus, which was also supposed to be carrying the NHL playoff games per advertisement and according to the channel guide, aired frigging rodeo crap because they couldn't show that game in the Chicago market because of CSN already having the rights. That night you could only see the game 1.) If you had CSN Plus or 2.) You waited until the Bulls game was over, which it then picked up the hockey game early in the 3rd period. And like Deb said above about sports bars, thank God for Buffalo Wild Wings or else I would have missed most of the game.

Yeah... that happened with the Bulls and Blackhaws one night during the Calgary series and then again for Game 2 of the Vancouver series - and that one was worse because it was the Bulls' game 7. Trying to watch the Blackhawks on a little screen among a zillion screaming Bulls fans (who of course get to watch the NBA on the BIG screen... ) UGH! Stupid Comcast and stupid NBA.

A Penguin was well offside on the Pittsburgh goal and the crew missed it. I'm shocked! At least it wasn't as blatant as the 30 second even strength 6 on 5.
You just gotta laugh!

No...you are just whining...There have been PLENTY of penalties missed against the Redwings...Hossa just about mugging someone behind the Pens goal prior to the goal that made it 2-1 last game.

You just need an excuse because now you aren't so sure the team you are rooting for is as good as you thought...so you make up excuses to explain it, and if they lose your conscience is soothed by blaming it on the refs...

What a baby...

Blaming my team for poor play...and the Redwings taking advantage of some bounces going their way...I never blamed the refs like you did...they are human and miss calls...on both sides...

And this game is now eerily like the last game...
