Looks like they only have one open week in August to fill and they'll be done. I won't be seeing Journey this year but I hope all of you guys have a great time. My concert dollar is tight this year so, I'm going to be selective in my shows. I've seen some great ones already and there are money saving deals out there if you look. The Moody Blues and Boz Scaggs were fairly priced. Celtic Women were a little pricey but seeing seeing how much they put into the presentation, I didn't mind paying. I just need to budget for Pat Benatar/ Blondie, Aerosmith and Def Leppard for the rest of the summer.

The absolute best moment of last year's show at the Greek was when Pineda sang WYLAW. The combination of him missing his spouse and the road weariness, being on the last week of the tour just put his vocals into a perfect pitch for that song.
Hopefully you all will get to hear it in the setlist this year and in the original key.

The last time I saw Blondie was over 20 years ago. A flock of Seagulls opened for her back then.

This is turning out be around 55 + concerts with Europe/US combined. Is Mighty Mouse up to the challange? There shouldn't be any excuses about being sick or tired this time around. They've broken up the schedule, detuned the songs, hooked up his family and still have Deen singing some of the harder numbers. You can't ask for more than that if you're a singer.

I was recently looking at the CD booklet that comes with the Journey remasters. It lists the dates for the tours that Journey did for their albums back in the early 80's. It was un-freakin-believable that SP sang that music for so many days on a tour!!! It's no wonder he's a little (well... a lot) shellshocked about the idea of touring again (if that's really the case). It blows my mind to even try to conceive performing like that. The man is amazing.

It seems like they must have SOMEONE to open for them here. Last time they came to Orlando alone, they played the HOB which makes sense. A venue that big makes no sense alone :?

Yeah, I'm not sure why this hasn't been announced by the Metro Centre yet. Maybe they're still trying to line up the support act. I'm pretty sure it won't be Heart, even though they don't have any shows from August 17-August 20. With them playing Naperville in July and the State Fair in Springfield on August 22, they might be breaking some radius rules by playing in Rockford. So maybe the Metro Centre is waiting on the support act before announcing this show.

I'm hoping that's the case. Even if finances are tight there's no way I'm missing them in my hometown (I didn't get to see them when they played in Chicago last year). It'd be great if they did an "Evening with..." type of show, but I know that's not going to happen.

Is there a large Fillipino population in the greater Orlando area? That would make sense, I have no idea as to the demographics of central Florida other than old people! LOL.

Well, that IS possible. Still seems like a stretch they could fill that place alone, but I guess we'll see! I know for sure the old people won't be buying the tickets
