I have to say partly what makes us all laugh is it could be any one of us. We have all shmacked into stuff, walked off of stuff, and had a less than graceful momment. Here is to you Brett, for making us laugh at you, with you, and a little at ourselves.

ROFL!!

Take of that damn hat, Brett, and maybe you'll see that objects are closer to your face that they appear.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!

Nice little avatar there Voyager! I have seen this played on every news channel there is today, and it's still funny!

Yep! Still funny!

I watched someone do something similar up close in person once, and I swear, even though it was a good 5 years ago, I still laugh like crazy just remembering it. Was walking through a mall once, and the person I was with saw some store and and said, "Wait, let me look for something real quick..." ... made a sharp right turn toward the store entrance... not paying attention that it was a big window, not an entrance... and WHAM BASH SPLAT! I didn't stop laughing for days.

A few months ago, as I was driving home from work one day, something random triggered that memory I guess, and I laughed like hell most of the way home.

I hear ya, been there done that. Walked right into a glass door that I thought was open.....and twasn't.  My co-worker damn near piddled her pants, and I laughed my head off too......even though it happened to me, just imagined how funny it must have looked.    Some guy came over to ask if I was ok, I could barely get out the "yes thanks, I'm fine".

I've done that too and probably worse. See my avatar. I'm the eternal klutz and have pulled many embarrassing and stupid moves, so I get intense joy when it is someone else for a change instead of me.

A couple months ago, I was trying to get away from a big crowd because I was getting panickey. I was in such a hurry to escape panic mode that I ended up falling UP a stupid curb. Um... right in front of a guy. In my defense though, this particular curb was really steep and I'm short. Couldn't quite clear it at that speed.   I had to admit, it was funny.

I lol'd pretty hard. As Drew Carey said on "Whose Line"... it's always funny when it happens to somebody else.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

We'll see how he is this August, my wife and I are going to the Def Leppard concert in Irvine. Even if he's got a broken nose, he's got over two months to get over it.

My wife is Japanese and she loves all these American rock acts from the 80's. I went and got the tickets so now she's a very happy camper.

I think it was a full moon last night ...

Crazy Deb and I were front row in Houston for Styx/REO/.38 Special ... Donnie Van Zandt tripped on a cord and went flying head first off the stage right onto Deb and another guy. Never let go of the mic stand ... security picked him up and hoisted him back on the stage and he went right on and finished the song. And then said, "Nothing like bustin' your ass in front of 10,000 people."

It's good to see him get whacked on the head as he needs it. I used to really like him and think he was a decent guy. After seeing him on his last season on Rock of Love, I lost a lot of respect for him. I still believe in good people doing good things ... sadly, he does neither. Whack him again I say.

yea-I'm ok. he just kind of slid down us as he flew off, but he did hit the ground--but not too hard I don't think. we sqooshed in together to make a wall of sorts. I was worried that he would land on the chairs. it was funny that he held onto the mike stand but the mike fell off. I was reaching for some body part to pull him up but he was face down on the ground by then. I just kinda rubbed his back--ImADORK!!! I was comforting him I suppose. I wasn't sure if he was really hurt or not at that point.

did that really happen?? wow--it doesn't seem real now--it was like slo mo.

thanks for the compliment, Deb.

Sorry I couldn't hang out with you guys at least after the show. I drove to San Antonio to visit my uncle in ICU. He has congestive heart failure and this was basically my goodbye visit to him.

Thanks muchly, Deb :D ... I agree, way too long since we've had a gathering of the Chicas ...

Ken, very sorry to hear about your uncle; we missed you.

Jana, the show was excellent. Deb and I truly had a fabulous time beginning to end. We got a meet n greet & photos with REO. .38 Special sounded great ... three guitars plus bass ... totally a rocking set; "Hold on Loosely" as the encore was especially fabulous. REO did a couple of deep tracks that I didn't recognize (I'm sure their serious fans did) in addition to the big hits; KC still yaks too much, but he wasn't excessively annoying. Styx sounded tight as ever. No Snowblind, but they did do the whole version of Suite Madame Blue.

Deb and I both have video (of the nosehair close variety) that should be good when there is time to upload ... REO and Styx did a grand finale together of Can't Stop Rockin'; looked like they were having an absolute blast ...

Image

And Chuck Panozzo signed my copy of his book The Grand Illusion that I have been hauling to shows for a long time (thanks, Sistah, for the assist); it was seriously cool ...

Sounds like Deb and the "other guy" may end up owning .38 Special by the end of the year. Does she have a good lawyer? Did the two of them file a police report?

...And more importantly... is she experiencing any back pain?

Image

Tell her good luck with her new band. With Van Zandt flipping off the stage into fans, she'll need it!!
