I just don't think that comment is or was necessary....at least Perry keeps it to himself...

Well, take my $0.02 for what they're worth, but personally? I find that it's in Perry's best interest to keep his comments to himself. You'll notice, ever since Behind the Music came out, little gems like "lul i never felt like i was part of teh band" are no longer in circulation; he fucked up, plain and simple. The truth is Neal's very much right, to some extent. Perry fractured the band long before TBF came along. Neal has the facts on his side and while Perry is enough to cloud objectivity in a large percentage of middle aged women around the planet, it's not enough for him to bank on winning a PR battle with Neal.

That one sentence was also taken out of context. Lora has mentioned that too. And pretty sure Lora, who was part of the show, would know a little more about it than us grunts dissecting it. And also read Perry say in an interview that it was part of what he was saying. It was part of him talking about when he first joined the band and how they were such a tight brotherhood to crack in to.
