Really, wow! He's older than Perry? Dont know why, but I just assumed he was in his early/mid 50s. Off to watch my sig......

That sig vid is great Deb!!!!! I can't believe you passed on that show.

 I know?! Image Wasn't actually *that* show, that one's from the Fillmore in SF (love the groove on that song), this is the one I passed on, Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iDo_HPxXIw My little brother caught a couple songs on vid for his sis and brought me back a keychain. Yep, he's a pretty cool little bro! :D Hope they come back to Western Canada later in the tour.

He said the guys were having a blast up there, only the 2nd show in, and Chad was in fine comedic form. He said, Chad could smell pot and started wafting his arms towards his face saying......ahhhh, there's that BC bud.

Great venue for music, but the place is a shithole. And $6 a beer is bullshit. I think I had 14-16 so I wa out about $100. But you know what...the cover was only $5 and I saw 4 killer bands. It evened out. I had a great time.

Place had awesome sound and the soundman was really good. Any sound issues were resolved by each band's second or third song. And you weren't lying about the neighborhood. Complete freakshow/war zone at night. Thought I was in Fallujah.

I've been listening to the Chickenfoot CD all week. Amazon.com had an early release download for $3.99, so I figured, how can I pass that up? Well, as expected, I'm glad I didn't pass it up. Satriani really lights it up on guitar, and I was pleasantly impressed with Chad Smith's work too. The Sammy/Mike combo works as always, but I have to say that the lyrics could've been better. Hagar has always been one to write songs about sex and partying, but he has done far better on those types of songs in the past.

It is great to hear a band that has a guitar player featured again. They are few and far-between these days, so I will take what I can get when I can get it.

Considering you have Britney on your iPod, I'm not surprised.

Here's an article in USAToday about the Foot.

I don't own an ipod and I don't really give a fuck about reviews other than my own. I haven't bought a CD since TBF. Good article though.

I bought the download version from Amazon today, and I have to say that so far I'm a little disappointed. I'm sure some of these songs will grow on me after a few listens (I haven't even listened to the whole thing yet), but to me it sounds more like a jam session than a full-fledged album. Seriously...some of the lyrics sound like Sammy just improvised whole songs and made up the lyrics as he went along. I don't get that! Where are the chorus hooks?

Maybe I'm just too old-school or something here, but these songs I've heard so far don't have a memorable chorus line at all. Those that do catch my attention a little, don't even have the name of the song in the chorus! Not that the songs names HAVE to be included in the hook of the chorus, but it makes more sense to name a song after the memorable hook of the lyrics...just saying!

To be fair, I really enjoy the musicianship on most of what I've heard so far. I'll give this thing a few spins over the weekend, and I'm sure I'll get into it more.

I agree.....a jam session is exactly how I hear it too.....pretty much throw away lyrics but the musicianship is great and Sammy is still in fine form vocally. Nothing serious, just a fun debut...4 guys having fun playing music.

I got my Chickenfoot Fan Club T-shirt in the mail today. It's red, has the square peace symbol/foot logo on it and says "Chickenhead" under the logo. On one of the sleeves it's says "Fan Club". Cool shirt.

They should have somehow incorporated "Tastes Like Chicken" on the shirt.

Just got my copy last night, for free on top of that since it was on sale for $9.99 and I had a $10 Reward Zone coupon. :) They should team up with these guys for a tour -- that would be enough chicken to last all year.
