Though admittedly I haven't seen it yet (sorry, you see one Will Ferrell...) the problem with this to me is it's once again mocking a show from the 70's by turning it into a "comedy" which has been, in the past, an EPIC failure ("Starsky and Hutch" anyone?)
The fact is, yes it was a goofy 70's kid's show that was terribly low budget, BUT the premise was kinda interesting. So why not do a serious reboot? Seems to me that's been done to pretty solid effect ( BSG anyone????)

Anyhow, I get tired of the tragically hip 20 and 30 somethings mocking the 70's all the time. Has anyone in Hollywood in the last ten years produced ANYTHING that could rival the like of "The Godfather" , "The Deer Hunter", "The Sting" or "Five Easy Pieces"??? Any music that can compete with Aerosmith, the Who, the Stones, Stevie Wonder, the Boss, and oh by the way...JOURNEY???

Ummm...no.

That's Heresy! Talledega Nights has more great one liners than almost any other Ferrell film. He had a great supporting cast that were great in it as well, not the least of them were his sons Walker and Texas Ranger.

I used to like Will Farrell when he was on SNL. But to carry a whole movie no. A little of him goes a long way for me. How many times are they going to pull out that tired Will Farrell in his underpants bit? I prefer Jack Black. Somehow Jack Black in his underwear is funnier I guess.

When does Hangover come out? Looks interesting. I hope someone reviews it here.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Brady Bunch movie - probably because they took the 60s Brady's and stuck them in the 1990s with carjackers and stuff. Made me laugh.

Not sure about LAND OF THE LOST.

Speaking of Sid and Marty Kroftt ... where's the remake of this! ;-)

I couldn't stand Starsky and Hutch. Where I found that the Brady Bunch movie worked by taking the exact characters and sticking them (as is) in a modern world, Starsky and Hutch wasn't even really like the show except for the red car. It was almost like the producer, writer and director hadn't actually *watched* an episode in 30 years and were going by memories of the show they saw as small kids. Didn't find it funny and certainly didn't find it a good parody because it seemed like they didn't remember the material they were parodying.

40 Year Old Virgin
Superbad

Loved 40 Year Old Virgin. Superbad made me annoyed. Probably because it was so built up by others but I personally thought it seemed like it was written by 12-year old boys and that fat kid got on my nerves by about 20 minutes in.

Movies that set the tone for comedy and non stop laughs:

Ace Ventura
Happy Gilmore

Happy Gilmore made me chuckle (that fight with Bob Barker had me rolling on the floor when I first saw it) but I feel about Ace Venture and Jim Carrey the way you feel about Will Ferrel. Absolutely can't stand that man or that movie.

This was a truly awful, awful film. My kid wanted to leave after a half an hour because it bored him to tears.

Angels and Demons, on the other hand - fantastic...a much better interpretation than the DaVinci Code.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!
