My wife and I drove down to San Diego last weekend and I swear I saw a billboard sign saying this while we were on I-15 right around Temecula. I'd like to check them out if they are down there doing some show.

If you have heard Arnel live then you should be happily shelling out $90 to get the chance to hear him again - he's that good and the band's musicianship has never been better.

I can only hope that you mean at their peak with Arnel, correct? If not, than put the bong down. The peak was 1983-1987.

Really? Even after seeing clips?

Plus, I figure I might get lucky & be on the receiving end of all that bong passing you guys were talking about earlier.

While most bands of this age are never going to see their heyday again, Journey is coming about as close as any right now.

Good post. I always wonder if the people who complain about paying $50 to see Journey in 2009 (saying that it was only $12 in 1983) are the same people who go to the grocery store and complain that milk isn't $0.25 anymore.

I'll certainly pay more for one of those great intimate venues like Pala

Especially since I have not been into Journey since the 80’s, really. Journey is great and I love that the men still play, but it would be hard for me to hear a sound that evokes memories from long ago without the entire package. Example: The Stones have been dead for 20 years, yet they still rock on with Jagger! Yeap, the same skeletal remains grace those stages and people are grateful to support them. That is what I had hoped to have with Journey with Perry, but it did not come to pass. So, I listen to their old music with Perry and I am fine with that. Course, I still wish Perry would continue to sing, but I also wish I was 25, smart and had a longer waist so that when I sit down my boobies don’t fall into my crotch!
