AOTW: Lion's Share - Dark Hunt

Not very impressed - nothing stands out to me. I like the singer better in his other band, Astral Doors.

The work car has been rattling to the sound of 'Accident of Birth' by Bruce Dickinson the last few days!

My AOTW goes to Luca Turilli's Dreamquest 'Lost Horizons.' Quite interesting that he'd drop his guitar for a keyboard role in this highly experimental female-fronted effort. I like the direction, but after several listens I'm still not quite sold on the music....I wonder if there will ever be a follow-up.

Is that the one with their cover of Soldier of Fortune?

My AOTW: Dream Theater - Black Clouds & Silver Linings

Pretty much what you would expect from these guys of late. I do like the bit of Rush sound you get in "The Best of Times"

Crimson Glory-Transcendence

pity Midnight kicked the bucket this week. The first two CG albums were great.

My AOTW is HolyHell "S/T"

www.myspace.com/holyhellofficial

The sound samples doesn't do it justice. You gotta find and listen to the full tracks to appreciate it. Taliwakker would like them; they have at least one or two odes to Satan within. :P

AOTW is actually 3. Never actually listened to any of these before, thought I would see if the modern/flashback stuff had any good moments.

A R.I.P. AOTW from me, this time, a tribute to the late Marcel Jacob: Talisman "S/T"

AOTW: Susperia - Attitude

Love the heavy music when the singer's don't resort to screaming. Add to that the guy sounds a little like Chuck Billy of Testament and this one's a winner.

My AOTW is a home-made complete 'premium' version/compilation of All Ends 'S/T' which I burned to a cd-r. It includes all tracks that appeared on the indie & offical releases, as well as the B-Sides to the 'Wasting Life' EP. 19 songs altogether in under 65 minutes.

I posted the track listing on the 'Ultimate Editions' forum, but I've considered tweaking the track listing later down the road.

My AOTW is Amberian Dawn 'The Clouds of Northland Thunder.'

Think Nightwish crossed with Royal Hunt, and you're not too far off. Good stuff.
