This is the quilt for Steve: Called "One in a Million"

I still have to turn down the sides and finish cutting exess threads. Maybe some day I can send it on to him!

On the sides are names of folks who wanted their names added for support.

Old Journey Force letters/stuff...all the wealth from EVERY year of Journey should be available/archived on the official site. Should be the GO TO place! Have not been there in some time so maybe it is now? Just know when I used to frequent one of the old "official" Journey sites, years back, there seemed to be a movement to squelch the past instead of preserving it

I think Lora was kind enough to let us post our stuff here. As far as the old sites.......well, I don't know if they have access to that stuff, or even if it exists any more except in old files of Lora's. And I am not about to ask her to go dig all that stuff up on her valuable personal time. I am sure no one would! :D I think it is nice to share here.........maybe others have memorabilia to share. It takes a long time to put this stuff on here. If it is not offered on the 'official' sites, then we can share here on MR. If that sits well with the great Wombat? :D You know I loves ya Andrew.............. :D

sorry, my point was not about you or Lora doing anything. These wonderful postings by Lora, yourself and others regarding the early years made me think how sad if there is not an official site that has everything Journey past and present :?:

I am sorry, I did not mean to imply you meant Lora. I was just stating Lora probably is the only one with access to that stuff of the Force. I think even when they did the album jackets Lora and Cyndy provided old photos and memorabillia. I don't think anyone else has this kind of stuff, that was all I meant. Your right it is sad......... I miss Fan Asylum....... :D

Thank you...........I wish you guys could see the quilt in person. It took me two years. It was a king sized quilt, and it turned out so lovely. I am more proud of that thing than most of my paintings and drawings combined. My heart went into that quilt, in more ways than anyone will ever know...........

Your design of the quilt you posted, is VERY special. Very very very very nice. Wow. I can see how much of yourself went into every detail.
A true artist. I remember that you posted something about the quilt before. Wasn't there a quesetion on Fan Asylum about a quilt being one of the gifts
that Steve received and still has, and you said that the quilt he has is not the one you made. Can you refresh my recollection of that? Do you know
for sure the one Steve says he has is NOT yours?

Last I heard...........HH had the force quilt. Others have made him personal quilts. So my thoughts are that he was speaking of another quilt. I know Jon has one I made for him. As a matter of fact two quilts. One for Madison his firstborn. And another one for fathers day that has ties from fans made into fans . I have one I made for Steve with tuxes on it. One red one stand out. I have never sent it to him, I have no where to send things to him anymore. Not since the force folded. I hold on to it to send one day. I made the Fathers day quilt one, years ago. The gal from his official site and I were old friends. She sent it for me last year. I hear the family loves it. :D Maybe some day I can get the tux quilt to its owner as well. I will just care for it till then. It has names of people who wanted to say they love his music on it.

THe tuxes quilt is so nice, especially with the eighth note necklace on the red one in the middle. I have no doubt that if Steve knew that quilt existed that he would want to receive it. It was made for him
with the love of his fans. I'm sure there is a way to get it to him and that he would be very very happy to receive it. :)

wow that is quite an accomplishment! Have you ever asked Lora or Cydny if you could send it to them and they forward it on to Steve? I mean here you are and then there's the two of his closest friends right here on MR and how many chances do you have in life like this? i'm sure you'll regret it if you don't ask and perhaps he's seen it online and cause he's not online he can't confess he's seen it and...well, take that chance. maybe you'll get lucky. i'm really hoping for a happy ending.

I don't want to impose on them..........It was one thing when they were running the fan club, and it is another now. As far as their relationship with Steve, I am not sure what that constitutes, but I would feel awkward to ask them to be my messengers. But maybe something official will come up! I hope for a happy ending too. :D Thanks Marabelle! :D

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! I'm dealing with Chickenfoot mania at work right now and have very little spare time at the moment. Ginger's quilt was really nice and everyone who saw it loved it. I lost track of it when it went to Herbie's office. Steve does have a quilt that was given to him by a fan, but it was done much later - I think during FTLOSM. Can't remember all the details.

Everyone should feel free to post Journey Force memorabilia. No worries there. When CP & I helped Sony & Steve put together the remastered digipacks in 2006, we went through tons of archived stuff. It was a massive amount of work but one done with much love. I don't know that I'd be up for that again even if Journey's official site contacted us with the request. I think they are more focused on the present than on their history anyway.

Lora I really loved the stuff you guys put on the digipacks. You did a great job. I know you guys give your clients your all, so I think every one else also understand you guys are busy right now. Thanks for letting me know you don't know what happened to the JF quilt. If that makes sense..........

I figured he was talking about some other quilt. He has a lot of fans who made him things back then.

I will add newsletters as I can, but anyone else feel free to jump in please! There were so many, and you might have some I don't! :D

That was a fun read, Lora! I'm trying to imagine what you guys were feeling when you were trying to hide behind the potted plant, LOL! Either you guys were giggling uncontrollably or scared sh*tless.

I hope Chickenfootmania is going well. =) Looking forward to reading more when you get the chance.
