Forget art for a second... what the HELL happened to that dude's belly button? Holy shit that is horrific! Looks like he took a hacksaw and hacked himself repeatedly to make it look like a cats bunghole so he can get that tattoo. People are messed up.

When I first saw the one with the cats, if that guy didn't have the beard and the owls on his head, I would say it was SP. Like on the other posts on here though I could have sworn that he said he didn't have cats anymore. And all the others keep saying he beats his cats. And the baseball game and the hot dog, he doesn't eat meat. I know it is all in fun, but I am with Andrew, it really isn't respectful of Steve. If that man wants to come back he will, if not he still has his legacy. Again beautiful work.

I built one for a sculpture class once made entirely of dustpans and pvc pipe! It turned out pretty cool! It was 6 ft tall. The dustpans were red, yellow and blue, then tie-dye spray painted..........It was colorful to say the least.......the pics don't show that well. It had colorful pinwheels spinning when the wind blew..........the project was on movement.......and since I am an education major, I made it to appeal to children, complete with kiddy pool! I wanted a round one, but could not find one that season.

Love that fountain design! Very cool and colorful. Was this a class for adults or children? By the way I use commercial pumps in my fountains (Little Giant) so they run forever without any problems or fires. 24 hours a day for 12 years so far.
So, is sculpture what I'm actually doing in making fountains? I made two sculptures from the White drywall stuff, like soap that hardens and you can carve. The head was carved out with a knife from a big block of the white drywall stuff, and the other horse was a relief. I made a clay design and poured the white stuff into the clay and let it set up, then peeled off the clay.
The carving was my first piece, and the relief my second piece in my life. I took two semesters of sculpture when I was in college as electives. My teacher told me I had some real talent there, but I'm saving working on sculptures until I'm old and have nothing better to do.![]()
Here are the two I did in that class.

Remember when I said that I'd love to see Maxfield Parrish in a traveling Art Show of some sort...?
Well...
Be careful what you wish for:
There IS an exhibition of Mr. Parrish, along with Norman Rockwell and others RIGHT NOW.....
in Newport, Rhode Island.....which I did NOT get to see, because we went to see The Mansions.....oh well........
