I don't remember which video or where, but there is one where Ross swats Arnel on the butt. It was pretty funny.

Sup with those Philippine flags? I just cringe when people bring it to Journey concerts. IMHO, it does not belong there. Is it just me?

Did you see the big American and Texas flags at the Download Festival? I think that happens everywhere.

Download 2009 - flags

I'm in favor of no flags.

Big difference between a big outdoor festival with flags 30" in the air vs someone waving a flag in front of your face and view of the concert and in this case the camera.

I'm with you Chubby I've been to the UK to see Journey every year they played there since I think 2004 but this year and as a US citizen supporting a US band I never once thought about waving a US flag in front of the UK fans. I'm proud to be American and proud of Journey but the flag is overkill.

Are you not in favor with fans bringing Philippine flags or bringing flags in general?

At the beginning I was fine with it but I think it's time to stop bringing flags to the concert.

I'm against it IF those were all flapping in front of me. I would become highly irritated trying to watch the show.

If you can get past the sound of the vid, in general, Neals riffs here confirm his guitar god status for sure. :D

I kinda cringed when I saw Pinoys with Philippine flags at the Wolves Civic last year. But hey, we are not very well known to be proud of our country so If Arnel is making some Pinoys proud of being Pinoy, then it's all good.

What can I say? You've seen some vids on youtube, you've the set list, the words of Neal! They surely, for a first time in 30 years do a set list of classics!
I'd loved to ear One More, Edge of the Blade or La Raza del Sol tonight, but I must admit that for someone who discover the band live for the first time(not my case), that the set list is perfect!

I hope they'll come back soon in France, in a climatised venue that time! A bigger venue now!!!!

I'll try to put a few pics... Ross with a French béret after show or Deen signing some autographs and download my vids, but I've so little time actually. Y&T tonight and the Hellfest at the end of week, so it will be next week!

I remember interviews from The Beatles. They said the same thing that when they went to Paris, the audience was largely male. Weird, huh?
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I also went to Journey's live in Paris. yes, there were a lots of French fans.
I missed a chance to see their concert in Japan which is my country, so I was so excited to go Paris.
Neal's guiter play was amazing, sound emotional as usual. Arnel was jumping, running around. he did well.
But is it only me who felt that Neal's perfomance wasn't as exciting as it used to be? of course he got old, no wonder I got old too....
Seems Arnel is getting new Philipino fans. It's good and important if Journey wants to carry on with this.
I managed to got to the front, on the right hand side which is Neal's side and was surrounded with a group of Philipino. I wanted them to enjoying the whole concert. they didn't sing along with the band, not even clapping, just watching recling against the fance. they were only excited when Arnel came to their side.
.....Sorry everybody if I made feeling bad with my post. May be I felt like this because I an Perry side person.
even without Perry I enjoyed the concert, jumping, shouting, singing loudly along with them.
But it is true the show made me really miss Steve Perry again very strongly.
I got home and listened to Perry's voice and cried a lots.
