Neal is a phenomenal guitar player, but I can guarantee you he doesn't write this stuff. He couldn't spell affectionately if his life depended on it and frankly, Lori is pretty fucking stupid too.

I noticed that too Fred.... makes me think he had "someone else" write it....

I doubt he's even dictating what to write. To me, it seems that "Someone else" has taken it upon themself to be Neal's PR person.

And that's ok too Gunbot. I commend Schon on doing this or whomever is doing it. He's about 7 years too late however. This is a perfect example of how easy it is to show you give a damn about the fans. Fans like to be thought of, as to think they actually matter to the band. Now Journey really doesn't give a sit, but at least they are going through the motions.

It absolutely sounds like first person to me when he's talking about the concert describing it. Lori wasn't even there at the concert. She blogged to the fans saying she had talked to Neal and it went great and he would be blogging on the road about it. And so he did. I agree with Fredinator, affectionately was sweet. 8)

If he had ran into Lori ten years ago, a lot of things would probably be different now. No tape gate, R&R HOF induction, who knows? Then again, it might not have made an ounce of difference.

Give Journey a call and see if you can erase their old ones. (Haven't you heard of recycling?)

I was at the gig in Paris, flew over from Manchester (UK) to see them as I didn't want to pay more money to see a half an hour festival set at Download! It actually worked out cheaper to go to Paris to see a 2 1/2 hour set, and we got to see the sights etc.
The gig was amazing! Honestly the best gig I have ever been to in my life! The band got into it more than ever (so much so that Arnel jumped into the crowd and had to be dragged out by security) and the set was very Revelation heavy! Neal was on fire, as were everybody! Arnel's stage personna has improved ten fold, to where I felt they have actually found a front man who could give Perry a run for his money! I went to see them last year too but he has just blossomed so much! He didn't hit a note out of tune all night.
I went from being dead against arnel, to liking him, to loving him! I have a new found respect for all the band members who finally are making the right decisions after many years of stupid ones!
They were all very humble after the gig (I'd actually say its their staff who make them look like ego maniacs by rushing them onto the coach whilst the band are obviously eager to sign autographs) and genuinely looked drained due to the heat!
Neal is the man! Never forget it! Best gig ever!

cool of Neal to post that. He was anti-internet for a bit there.

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.
