Neal is a phenomenal guitar player, but I can guarantee you he doesn't write this stuff. He couldn't spell affectionately if his life depended on it and frankly, Lori is pretty fucking stupid too.

I think Ross has maybe changed his hairstyle and added a mustache or goatee or something--he's just got some turkey neck going otherwise he looked really great in that red tie-dyed t-shirt (I think that's what is was). I saw Jon smile in a couple of Marty pictures so looks to me like he stays really focused. Neal's blogs are really something; I don't know if any other guy writes notes to his fans and ends it "affectionately." Very, very sweet. They played in that hot venue for 2 1/2 hours; sitting down in that freakin' concrete bowl at the Verizon last July was hot, too--I can see why he felt kind of faint. Now Journey really doesn't give a sit, but at least they are going through the motions.

I was at the gig in Paris, flew over from Manchester (UK) to see them as I didn't want to pay more money to see a half an hour festival set at Download! It actually worked out cheaper to go to Paris to see a 2 1/2 hour set, and we got to see the sights etc.
The gig was amazing! Honestly the best gig I have ever been to in my life! The band got into it more than ever (so much so that Arnel jumped into the crowd and had to be dragged out by security) and the set was very Revelation heavy! Neal was on fire, as were everybody! Arnel's stage personna has improved ten fold, to where I felt they have actually found a front man who could give Perry a run for his money! I went to see them last year too but he has just blossomed so much! He didn't hit a note out of tune all night.
I went from being dead against arnel, to liking him, to loving him! I have a new found respect for all the band members who finally are making the right decisions after many years of stupid ones!
They were all very humble after the gig (I'd actually say its their staff who make them look like ego maniacs by rushing them onto the coach whilst the band are obviously eager to sign autographs) and genuinely looked drained due to the heat!
Neal is the man! Never forget it! Best gig ever!
