Video Search...

Postby brywool » Sat Jun 20, 2009 5:09 am

Hey, I'm looking for the video of Journey in 81 playing Japan. NOT the 83 version, but the 81 version. A Youtube of DSB is what I'm after.

Anybody know where I can grab that link?
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

It amazes me how hits those Bs and it looks like he's friggin' whispering. The 83 Tokyo one is good too actually.

That was the video Sony gave MTV a few weeks after being on the air. You can tell from the boot that some of the video in this is edited from other parts of the show.
His voice is just so spot on in this one, even though he did flub the lines for Keep on Runnin' and Stone in love later in the show.

I don't know. But I'm looking for the one in Japan either in '80 or '81 where they played People and Places and I'm Cryin' . The would be my dream concert to have.

This is the version to listen to when you're sick of hearing DSB. Perry's affectations and when Neal rips are the best parts of this version.

That guitar is turned up LOUD and sounds great.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNB1EUJg1-w

This vid captures what made Journey the better band of all the AOR bands. Perry's voice and Schon's guitar on the same stage, both soaring. Apart they can never match what they did together.

I'm glad you did, because brywool's came up as 'not available in your country' for me. What the hell is with YouTube these days?

Try this one. It's the same video, just different uploader.

No, just alters the sequence when I do a search (i.e. doesn't pull from Australian uploaders first.)
