Love the interaction between Arnel and Neal

Postby YoungJRNY » Tue Jun 23, 2009 5:04 pm

Found this on youtube. Arrow Rock 2008. Don't Stop Believin', Arnel does a take on DSB where he rarely plays with the opening lines. He surprises Neal with a nice curve-ball and at :58 you see Neal actually give him a "NICE" and Arnel gives him a little hug.I love that interaction because we saw so little of that with Augeri. You could really tell the band loves Arnel and that they look at him as their little brother in a way but at the same time, a gem.

Very nice intro and I am in no way trying to start anything here. AP version is not completely original to the song. Seems I've seen and heard another version as well.

This is cool. It seemed Neal and Augeri never really gelled personality-wise. Arnel and Neal seem like good pals. That's cool to see.

My Filipna house girl was short. As a matter of fact she was too short, kept skipping the top of the refrigerator when she was dusting because she didn't want to get a chair.

You mean like when Neal had to pay Perry when Augeri was in the band as if he was a full member?
Or maybe you're speaking of when Perry was "toast" then went and made a solo record? Or maybe you're talking of how Perry was all 'set' to tour and then just kept Neal and the band in limbo for friggin' YEARS.

Yeah, I can see why Neal would still wanna be pals with him.

I don't know what the hell your problem is, Bry, but Steve Perry is most certainly not an asshole by any means. He didn't do anything that wasn't deserved. And those times he went on record saying he fucked up? Characteristic modesty from a man assuming responsibility for the mistakes made by other people. There's a rumor circulating in the Vatican that Steve Perry's up for sainthood.

So you just need to calm the fuck down.

Yes he had to pay, HE wanted to "move on", he should have had to pay. And yes, Perry was toast and made a solo record 2 YEARS later. That's not enough time? And he WAS all set to tour and needed a friggin' hip replacement. NOBODY can decide when someone should have MAJOR SURGERY until that person is ready. If you really give a shit about the legacy of the band, YOU WAIT, no matter how long it takes.

Yeah, I can see why The Voice would still wanna be pals with him.

YOU wake up.

No.

First, Perry truncated the tour because he "was toast" or "burnt out" or whatever. Understandable. He did not, however, mention that he wanted to slide in a solo album. But he did. And karma bitchslapped it into the depths of oblivion for his deceit.

You submit that they had a responsibility to them. Well, he had a responsibility to them. One he failed.

Period.

As far as I'm aware, I am the first to use it. I could be mistaken.

And you should get your own logo, absolutely. You could have it displayed proudly on your straight jackets and complementary muzzles. :D
