Okay, this is one song that shouldn't be stepped down. It's like they're in mollasses.

I know they have to step down during the whole show and can't pick and choose songs but this tune would fit right in AP's wheel house, really anything from ROR and TBF fits his range.

I don't like it. Maybe they'll do something with it later on but it doesn't sound like what I was expecting.

But thanks for the clip.

i suppose i'm comparing Arnel's voice unfairly with Mr Perry's voice but he just seems to drag a bit with his words when he sings. i've noticed it alot on his songs; he's got a very nice voice but he does drag the words a bit tooo long.

I don't think it's intentional. JSS said it's hard to sing stepped down and this may be the case. AP killed WYLAW when he sang it last year. I guess I was expecting the same thing here.

I agree...given its youtube and probably taped on a cell phone so the sound quality is bad...still...the song drags too much...it's not a fast song to begin with so it sure doesn't need to be slowed down even more...in concert increasing the tempo a bit would sound better, not decreasing it. Lackluster performance on that one.

It's not one of my favorite songs, but I thought it was great with the exception of the backing vocals. They're going to have to perform that one more to get it nailed, but I think Arnel is singing it very well.

You don't think his cadence was not natural? The backing vocals are what got TDTWT put back in the basement. Maybe that will happen here also.

Tune this song and I bet he nails it.

I need a better sounding video. I agree. It's too crappy for me to really tell form that video. Arnel's voice seems like it will be great on this song. I would like it faster also, maybe even a little faster than orginally written for live in concert.

They need to let Arnel hang with Frontiers and Jeremey for a week. Let him sing Suzanne, WCTNGOF, IBAWY, MOL, etc. in regular key and try it again with Journey.

I agree. I went back and listened to it. Even with the bad sound quality, I think this is a great song for Arnel with some work on tempo of the song. I love his voice for this song. Live this could have been very different that what we're hearing on this video.

It's not that I don't want to hear them tackle it. I just don't like it slowed down like that. TBF is slow enough already. It sounds like he is trying to annunciate each word.

Or channeling Nirvana. Yikes. Crowd has the WTF look, too.

I could suggest a dozen or so non-DD songs I'd rather them take a shot at.

Good track but in concert? Talk about a snoozefest.
