I love Jeremey, can't wait until he comes back to Pittsburgh so I can actually make a show. He's a great vocalist, but (this isn't knocking J in no means) I think he uses TOO MUCH Perry-ism's. He kind of uses that bubble in his throat way to often to sound more and more like Perry. That's the way I hear it. It's not a bad thing, though.. just noticeable.

Back to the title of the thread, yes, there is an absolute real chemistry with Neal and Arnel and you can see a real fondness from Neal for Arnel and vice-versa. And before the bashers come in to tell me what an asshole Neal is, I don't care. Nobody is black and white in their personality. I don't paint Neal as an angel, but the people that paint him the total opposite way with no seeming objectivity b/c of their dislike carries no weight with me either. He's in the middle, good and bad. Things don't last forever, but at this point in the band this is what's there and it's genuine after coming on two years.

I agree with everything you said, and have said as such more than once here. But the Arnel vs. Jeremey debate really isn't winnable for either side, and there's usually someone (or several someones) who either misunderstands the history or flat-out recreates it.

I was just saying that even if we want to bash Perry or his fans, they will not allow it. And Arnel will not appreciate it either. He doesn't like confrontations, he always advise us to stay away from it and remind us that you cannot please everybody.

In my opinion, since we already have MR, it is more than enough.

True. That's the way Arnel wants it, no bashing of other sites or other past members of Journey.

But it's not all pom-poms. Definitely a positive fansite for Arnel, just as any fansite, like a Perry fansite would be, where gushing abounds. But there have been lively and even extremely passionate, heated discussions over there on differences of opinion on different subjects or re Arnel and things related to him and his career, and critical remarks by fans who have their opinions on things, and was never discouraged or clamped down on. I believe Arnel enjoyed reading all the opinons. (Well, maybe he didn't. You can't please everyone. And we're all armchair critics. ) But all opinions were allowed. Now, I don't know if that will continue on the new site so much b/c it's moderated more and the fans are splintered on two sites.
