still no confirmation on any of the other big news sites (CNN, MSNBC, local affiliates).
Is TMZ really trustworthy? I don't go to their site, so I really don't know.

Do they allow sexual predators on the hiking trails?

Oh, that's right, he was never convicted. You're right, a hike would have been better than an overdose.

I said when his UK gigs were announced that he'd never fulfil them.
But I never expected a heart attack to be the reason!!!

By the way...

The "King of Pop" label was a label that his own people came up with. When Bad came out, they wouldn't allow interviews unless each publication and interviewer referred to him as "The King of Pop". Talented. Influential. Gifted. Yes. King of Pop? I don't think so.

By the way, you people may now call me... "The King of Everything" or I will no longer speak.

Hey, why is it so quiet???
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

McMahon, Fawcett and Jackson. That probably puts Walter Cronkite in the clear, at least for a litttle while.

Oh, there's a lot of preverts hanging out in the woods. That's why I was relieved when Sanford got busted with having an affair because when I heard he was hiking on the trail alone, I thought oh no, not another one (homo).

"LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead."

But again, this is TMZ reporting. The major news outlets have barely posted the news that he was taken to the hospital, and most are citing TMZ as their source... but TMZ clearly is THERE, since they got the picture... this sounds like it's true.

WOW. Say what you want about the guy, but he changed the world of music forever. He truly is a legend in his own right, and was one talented mother fucker. Sad day today. We lost Farrah Fawcett, and now the king of pop.

Interesting. Here's an excerpt of a Rolling Stone article on his upcoming shows. Maybe the stress of it all and his alleged pill popping problem brought it on.

"Will he or won’t he? That’s the question dogging Michael Jackson as the King of Pop edges closer to his 50 sold-out concerts at London’s O2 Arena, which are scheduled to begin July 13th. Will Jackson will able to complete the run that would once again cement him as one of the biggest stars on the planet — as well as save him from the giant debt the Thriller singer has accumulated during his lengthy hiatus? In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Fred Goodman takes an in-depth look at the This Is It! concerts, the challenges facing Jackson and promoter AEG Live, and how Jackson’s perfectionism has already forced the postponement of the run’s opening four dates.

In England, bookies at betting parlors are already increasing the odds that Jackson will cancel some shows — a prospect that would devastate fans who snatched up more than 750,000 seats (at prices starting at $81 per ticket). While Jackson has been rumored to be frequently absent from his Los Angeles rehearsals with choreographer and musical director Kenny Ortega, the technical complexity of the shows, as well as Jackson’s perfectionism has been cited for the delayed starting dates. (Jackson is reportedly seeking a children’s choir that knows sign language and is “exactly equal” in racial diversity.)

For Jackson, the stakes are high, as he’s amassed a massive debt of unpaid wages"

He has missed loads of rehearsals for these pending shows at the 02 in London.
The dancers have all showed up but have worked without him being present.
I don't think they have been paid yet for their work either.

I'm sure he got paranoid and wished that he had never put the tour on, and killed himself because he couldn't handle the fallout from cancelling the tour.

I'm guessing that he will be hanging out with Elvis, Jon Bonham, Freddie Mercury, and Bon Scott tonight. When they start passing out the Jesus Juice the heavenly band will hit the stage. Kurt Cobain will be the emcee for Jacko's welcoming party.

Well, if you think about it... large amount of debt, shows he didn't seem to want to do, might've wanted to get out of them but due to finances or contracts or something he couldn't... dude wasn't right anyway, his family was just *pow* right there, conflicting reports... I don't know. I hate to even make light of a situation like this, but I will admit it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he popped up on a beach in Dubai. But, maybe that's the human nature of wanting to posthumously continue on the mystique of a celebrity.

FROM TMZ:

We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.

La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.
