I'm sorry if some of you think I'm being callous...I happen to have a very strong feeling about Child Molesters. They don't deserve rights. The safety and security of children are sacrosanct. If anyone is going to sit there with a straight face and say that sexually abusing a child isn't the worst crime imaginable, well, you missed something in your moral upbringing.

If you don't like him then stay out of the thread.

Why? Unless I've read it incorrectly, The thread is about reporting his death and peoples reactions to it...

Sorry if you don't like my stance on this...but it's just as valid as the tidal flood of senseless crying over this man's life. There's two sides to this, and both are valid....I'm not taking away what he accomplished musically...

Yeah, we heard you the first 10 times you said it. He was still an incredible performer and musical force of nature. And a father. And people who want to shit all over a thread discussing a death of such an influential person just to make themselves feel better enrage me.

He hasn't been relevant for 17 years.

such anger and hostility in your posts....would you like to discuss your personal issues?

Not angry at all. happy actually.

A quick reissue of Thriller might net quite a few million dollars for Sony right about now.

Do we know this as fact? :? Not saying he's normal by any stretch, but I've got too many questions to say for sure. I personally think he was a big kid that never grew up mentally and liked playing with kids (sleepovers, etc.). Call me naive, but with young celebs like Cory Feldman and McCauley Culkin, etc. having sleepovers I would think a slimey weasel like Cory Feldman would have milked a "MJ raped me" for all the fame and $$ he could get. I'm not saying he didn't molest a kid, just hasn't been proven IMO. Either way, it's still a sad day for the music biz, he was an ICON. :(

You think I'm posting to make myself feel better? LOL. Funny, truly.

If you should know anything about my posting here or elsewhere, Nig, I post when I see something that I don't agree with...and I am compelled to present the other side of the argument. Not for my own purposes, but for the purposes of the discussion.

Seriously, I get it. The man was a musical genius...I personally thought the genius behind his music was his producer, but we can debate that later. I understand the man's contributions...

But what is sorely missing from this discussion is all the bad that he did while he was alive. Child Molesters do not deserve to live...sadly, he got what he deserved all too quickly.

I'm sad and frustrated to see all too many people willing to forgive him of such an evil act, just because he's now dead...that's my motivation.

With all due respect, how do you know this?

Do you have access to his financial data over the past several years?

Right now, what is very apparent, is that he left a ton of debt and gave away alot of his money. Perhaps it's is accountant's fault. We'll never know...

But I do find it awfully convenient that he left millions in debt and gave away similar numbers...that's a little bit fishy in my eyes.

Let me put it to you from the perspective of an auditor or bankruptcy lawyer. If a corporation were seeking chapter 11 protection, and was giving away as much money as it owed....the investigators would be guilty of SERIOUS malpractice if they didn't look into the timelines of the charitable donations.

Seriously, while i can't prove that he gave away money he should have been giving to his creditors, you can't prove the other side of the coin either!

i started getting into music as an eight year old kid around 1982 or 1983 and escape, thriller and pyromania were the first batch of music i ever owned when all those were still going strong on the chart.the one thing that i definitely loved about michael jackson was his unique videos.he was one of the best at the time when videos were fairly new.i wanted to share this link to thriller which i still consider one of the best and entertaining videos ever.this one used to be on everyday i'd get out of school....

I still don't think it was really him at the Press conference which announced his 02 London gigs.

It had to be a lookalike guy. The voice was totally different.

YES! I said that here when I saw it. His voice was totally different.

His troubled finances have been talked about since at least the mid 90's. Ironically, around the time of "accusations."

Run him down all you want, but the celebration of his life and music, and mourning of his passing over the next few days will dwarf almost anybody's in this world's history. The man didn't hurt a fucking fly and there is zero evidence that he did. Child molesters don't pick and choose. Accusations would have been rampant. The evidence suggested the careful mainpulation of maybe 2 children coached by fucking opportunists. I might be smoking crack, but your breath smells like shit because you're talking out of your fucking ass.

Child molesters are the lowest of the low & I'm not saying MJ was or wasn't guilty of those allegations, but the guy just died for shit's sake. Can't the stone throwers amongst you wait a couple of days before you start that same ole' tired crap?!?!

Love him or hate him, MJ played a pivotal role in defining the music industry, & he was way beyond generous when it came to charitable contributions.

R.I.P to all three: Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon & Farrah Fawcett.

Everyone knows about Jackson's failings. We don't need anyone to educate us. And here's a news flash for you high and mighty people: When someone dies, most people like to remember the good things about the person. Well, at least normal people do.

some people are born to be the brightest of stars where they light up the skies for all to see. some people are born into this world to provide gifts for all to treasure and cherish. although he was born a man and may have had some of those human traits he was an icon who captured our attention; who drew us into his life and would not let us look away; he was an amazing talented man given to us by God as a sparkling beacon in music and talent. and although his light has dimmed and gone dark his spirit will continue to brighten our hearts and souls. i suppose it is expected the stars will weep and the sky will cry cause of the sadness which has fell down all over us on this earth; good bye dear dear Michael and Farrah. Watch the skies during the night and I am sure you will see two shooting stars as the souls of these creative people will soar beyond our sight as they vanish somewhere into the night.
