On a related note, I think the winner in all of this (maybe a poor choice of words, but I think I've already crossed that bridge to most of you) is TMZ. They've been on top of this story since the 911 call to the first to announce his death (well in advance of anyone else) to post death follow up. Exclusive pictures and news. Like it or not, they've moved up another level or two and have not only become a credible news (at least entertainment related) source but very possibly the leading news source.

First time in the dang thread I'm agreeing with your post.

There's that word again.. "bleached". Untrue.

http://www.medicinenet.com/vitiligo/article.htm

Vitiligo (vit-ill-EYE-go) is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin are destroyed. As a result, white patches appear on the skin in different parts of the body. Similar patches also appear on both the mucous membranes (tissues that line the inside of the mouth and nose), and the retina (inner layer of the eyeball). The hair that grows on areas affected by vitiligo sometimes turns white.

About 0.5 to 1 percent of the world's population, or as many as 65 million people, have vitiligo. In the United States, 1 to 2 million people have the disorder. Half the people who have vitiligo develop it before age 20; most develop it before their 40th birthday. The disorder affects both sexes and all races equally; however, it is more noticeable in people with dark skin.

"Focal pattern vitiligo and segmental vitiligo remain localized to one part of the body and do not spread. There is no way to predict if generalized vitiligo will spread. For some people, the depigmented patches do not spread. The disorder is usually progressive, however, and over time the white patches will spread to other areas of the body. For some people, vitiligo spreads slowly, over many years. For other people, spreading occurs rapidly. Some people have reported additional depigmentation following periods of physical or emotional stress."

His whole body and face was white. Not patches all over his body.

You've seen his whole naked body?

1) it spreads to different degrees in different patients
2) he used corrective make up to even it it out

if you've ever seen a person with this condition, and I have - I went to school with a girl who had it, its an incredibly obvious situation, and someone in the public eye on the scale he was is not going to make appearances looking that way.

My thoughts exactly. I've known several people with varying degrees of this condition. We don't know the degree to which this condition may have spread on MJ. Most people try to find a corrective make-up that most closely matches their original skin tone, however, at some point it may have become easier to simply go with the lighter color, and try to spackle over whatever was left of the original color. Either way, someone who makes his living in the public eye cannot show up in public looking like a pinto pony. Of course, then again, there are those body image issues MJ is (in)famous for. :? Who knows. I suppose it will all come out soon enough.

Also heard on the radio news at 4pm that the Paramedics are saying he was dead at home. They wanted the coroner called and the Doctor insisted he be taken to the hospital.

TMZ has live stream outside the coroner's office. The press conference starts in a minute or two with the autopsy findings.

The 911 call is also telling. The guy that called was not frantic. He knew he was dead. They needed the ambulance ride to buy time to clear out the drugs and for the enablers to have some getaway time.

I thought the same thing. They must have been working on him a couple minutes before they called 911 for an last option. He even said he was not responding to anything the doctor did, esp. CPR. Cardiac Arrest is sudden and the window of opportunity closes before anyone can react at the right time. MJ was in a bad heath state altogether.. the dude didn't have a chance.

Yep, the doctor murdered him. But it's much more clear than the Anna Nicole murder - this guy was a doctor, and gave Jackson an injection of Demerol, and the injection stopped his heart. I'd say he may be charged with manslaughter, and by the time it's over, his malpractice insurance will payoff Jacko's $400-million in debt. I'm sure Mark Gregaros will have his grubby hands in the picture before long, right after he promises the Jackson family a big malpractice award.

His only chance might've been a defibrillator right at the moment he became unresponsive.

Take me to the children's hospital.

Got to admit, that is pretty funny.

Their reporting in the news that MJ was 400 million in debt when he died. So basically even if he did do the 50 shows, he would have only broke even at best. That's a lot of work to just break even.

They were saying something was going on with the family and they are going over some kind of legal agreements before the autopsy was going to be performed, so they opted to wait to get the family matters out of the way first. Atleast that's what they said at first reports of it being postponed.

Tributes are pouring in for Michael Jackson. Queen's Brian May issued his very own tribute but also broke the news that there are unreleased recordings of Jackson and Freddie Mercury.

Here is part of May's statement/tribute: "Hard to know what to say - what to feel. I find myself wondering what might have happened on his tour ... the number of dates in the UK that he had committed to was insane. I did have a feeling it was impossible, but I was so shocked to hear that he went so suddenly. Very sad. Of course I still think of him as a boy - he used to come and see us (Queen) play when we were on tour in the States, and he and Freddie became close friends, close enough to record a couple of tracks together at Michael's house. Tracks which have never seen the light of day.

"Michael was the boy star of The Jackson Five, and always the most screamed at. I remember in their show, they tried very hard to make all the brothers equal in the presentation, but it was abundantly obvious that all most of the girl fans really wanted to see was little Michael. It was Michael who heard our track 'Another One Bites the Dust' when he came to see us on The Game tour ... and told us we were mad if we didn't release it as a single."

Yeah amazing how these same people never publically came to MJ defense during the molestation situations.

Right. And now I wonder just how long he remained unresponsive before the 911 call was even made.

Not that I need to post it, becuase everyone has seen TMZ, but the thing about the EMTs wanting to call time of death at the scene is also telling... it is said that this doctor insisted they continue CPR and that he be transported even thought he EMTs said he was done and gone. So either this doctor was trying to show that everything possible was being done (to cover his ass) because he knew Mike was gone, OR this doctor was really trying to get him saved (again, to cover his ass).

Or any number of other scenarios... or maybe just one of those things and everyone did what they could. It's like the end of "Clue". You could envision it 10 different ways.

But... where is this damn doctor. :?:

When was that excuse used? Last I remember, MJ was saying that white record producers made him change his appearance to white because he would then be accepted better by the majority white fan base. MJ himself said that, I got rid of all my MJ albums after he said that.

Wasn't his family Jehovah’s Witness? I wonder if that has anything to do with family discussions. Though I think with his age, and dying at home, it would be by law that they had to okay an autopsy anyway. I'm sure there are a ton of legal things that will tie up all kinds of things where he is concerned.

Yeah, they were/are. But this can't be avoided. A mysterious sudden death for a bathroom janitor or for Michael Jackson... regardless of your faith, will mandate an autopsy. I suppose the family could fight it if they were that stubborn, which would tie them up in red tape for a few weeks. But I believe the Jacksons to be good people at heart who just want to know why they don't have their brother and son. Everybody needs closure. This is the closest they can get.

Yeah, I"m sure they'd want to know for the chance of any malpractice against the doctor too, if it's true he was given an injection.

One of our radio stations played his music for 12 hours straight from yesterday to today. Some great songs and it brought me back to my youth just as well as any Journey music could. That's what most can't deny, no matter how they feel about him as a person 8)
