Dear Friends,

It is with the great sadness that I must pass on the following information. Please join me in remembering a great American icon: The Pillsbury Doughboy.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a severe beating and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71 years old. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their final respects, including such notable names as Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, Betty Crocker, and Captain Crunch. Doughboy's gravesite was piled high with flours.

There was not a dry eye at the service as longtime friend Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. According to Jemima, Doughboy rose quickly among the ranks gaining the respect of all his peers; however, his life was later filled with many turnovers. To some, Doughboy was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his time on half-baked schemes. Love him or hate him, it seems that everyone had an opinion of Doughboy. Critics described Doughboy as having been a little flaky in his youth, maintaining that he later evolved into a crusty old man. Those who loved him, considered Doughboy to be a roll model for millions. Toward the end of his life, it was believed that Doughboy would someday rise to fame again, but that would never come to pass.

Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough. The couple had two children, plus one in the oven. He is survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. Doughboy's funeral was held today at 3:45 for about 18 - 20 minutes.

(Ok. Please don’t beat me up. I’m not trying to be insensitive. My prayers go out to the families of those who have recently passed away. However, a little comic relief at a time like this is good for the heart and soul.)

Jason was trying to lighten the mood a bit. It amazes me how some threads become relivant depending on who is posting them, or if some of the "boys" approve or not. Throw in a half naked woman and it becomes relivant. Put something of culture, or inject some humor and it becomes boring. I get as tired of the half naked women as you guys do of cats. I stopped the cats..................

Well, Tane was once related to Jon Cain, who is with Journey, so technically a Journey subject. I'm sure that's the only reason it was posted.

Thank you so much, Ginger, for having my back. As I said in my footnote, I didn't mean any disrepect in regards to the happenings of this past week. Yet, if you couple those events with the passing of Dom Deluise last month & beloved "Golden Girls" Bea Arthur the month before a person could allow themselves to get too caught up in the moment. Again, my thoughts & prayers go out to the families & friends of those who have recently passed, but if some people have no sense of humor & cannot see the need for a little comedic break from all the sadness of recent events, well, then, there's only one thing left to say:

Thank you, sincerely. I debated on whether or not to post this b/c in the short time I have been here I've quickly come to realize that certain members seem to gravity towards gloom, doom, darkness & despair. Certain members here seem to enjoy carrying around a Shakespearian-esq dark cloud hovering over their heads & a perpetual "Woe is me" mentality & so I figured I would receive a backlash from the likes of those people. After weighing all the options, I finally said, "Screw it!" & I posted it anyway. If Andrew finds my thread distasteful, he may delete it as he wishes.

Cheers, Jason. We have threads loaded with babel fish translations of Euro reviews, we have the same three songs, AWYWI, SW, and DSB youtubed to death in every thread. We are not allowed to make fun of the band unless it includes pink ponies and rainbows. However when no one is cutting on the band, then the place has "lost its edge". The same people complaining about the Perry loons derailing threads then turn around and complain because everything is too peachy keen around here and this place has become irrelevant and we're now making nonsensical threads.
There are two Arnel sites, a Journey music site, and a Journey UK site, all dedicated to good wholesome conversation about the best band on the planet. If this place has lost its relevance, why waste time here? So many other options seem readily available, what need is being served coming to a place that is so negative and so irrelevant and full of haters?
Satifaction of some kind of masochistic fetish?

I managed to correct your typo the last time, sweet pea, but this time I really can't tell what you were trying to say above. Those sweaty palms of yours are making your fingers slip all over the keyboard. Please, there's no need for you to get all flustered & nervous when writing to me. I know you're heart is palpitating, Steve, but you needn't worry. I'll be gentle. Not.
