In the spirit of Joe Walsh I have taken up alcohol in as a side hobby. Just kidding. Been in a Joe Walsh and Eagles phase lately.

DIscoverd Samuel Adams Black Lager. This is good freaking beer. Dark and a little thick but not Guinness thick. Tons of hop flavor, a little caramelish (A good thing), not at all bitter and ZERO AFTER TASTE.

7 Beers in a a beautiful low humidity 92F day laying in the sun reading a book about the Beatles. Bliss !! Finally, getting some sun on my pale white self.

My legs were so white I could flag down a 747 from the ground ! Thie price of a desk job :(

Black Lager's pretty good. I used to love Sam stuff a lot more than I do now... now I find they get a little carried away and overexaggerate their flavors/hops too much. The Sam Summer Ale is embarrassing. But Black is definitely one of the better ones they have out.

I've been drinking Boddington's Pub Ale a lot the last 3 months... comes in a can, a good cream ale, it's creamy but not dark like a Tetley's for example. Very good, highly recommended. Just don't you dare drink it out of the can. Must drink from a glass

Allagash is another good one if you can find it - I forget where it's brewed, maybe MI? I could be way off there. At any rate, it's a very good Belgian witbier... think Hoegaarden, but more subtle and less "macro" tasting.

Old Rasputin Imperial Stout is another good dark. Similar to Guinness but again, subtler and has a great aftertaste. If I ever want a break from Guinness, I pick up some of these. It's like 9 or 10% tho, so watch out.

When I was in my IPA phase I really liked the Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA and the Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale. But, honestly, I haven't been into IPAs for a year or two, the overkill on hops just got too predictable for me. A bit of an overrated beer style imo.

Plenty more to come, but those are recent faves...

We are all beginners... just some are further along than others. There's so many damn beers out there... I know you're in ohio, do you have Giant Eagle or Heinen's down there? They both have great beer selections. So does Trader Joe's

www.beeradvocate.com is a great site as well

I really shouldn't gay joke, as I have zero against gays...in fact I am a gay rights guy. I make fun of gays because well, they're gay. Hahahahahahaha.

Seriously, David, what's going on here? sitting around your crib on a Sunday evening, bored to shit. Already spun Clay Aikens greatest hits 40 times.......thinking, what can I do to liven up the night? hey, I know, I'll suck a dick! Where can i learn to swallow a sword? Dude, I don't get it, and I have never been horny enough nor bored enough to say "you know what, let me get on all fours and grab the comforter as you rip my anus to shreds. Gee, I hope it felt good Sir." Not my thing dude.

Two things: Number One: I didn't mention anything gay in this thread so what do you propose I "take down a few notches?" Number Two: I'm gay. Deal with it.

Well I'm told they are born that way. Why else on earth would a man choose cock over vagina?

Here's the deal: I am repulsed by gay sexuality. Repulsed. I don't want to see it, hear about it, nothing. But the fact that it exists has zero effect on my life. Let them get married. Let them do whatever. Life is tough...I'm for human beings doing whatever they need to make this world work, so long as they do not hurt any innocent people.

But do we have to hear about it in every damn thread on MR?

Yes, when someone brings it up. You do. I'm sorry you have a phobia against gays but I have no plans to go back into the closet for you or anyone else. I can take a joke & so I am extremely lenient when it comes to people on this site poking fun at me & gay people in general. However, I expect to be able to rebuttal to whatever's said, whether my rebuttal is orchestrated in a joking manner (as is typically the case) or whether my rebuttal intends to be taken seriously (such as this). If you think for one second someone is going to post pictures of drag queens or animals humping one another or whatever else they please & I am NOT going to rebuttal, you are sadly mistaken, my friend. I'm sorry you have a problem with gays, but that is YOUR problem, not mine.

I'm really starting to believe that and I think one day there will be scientific evidence to back it up. Some people are born normal (hetero), some handicapped, some retarded and some gay.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you speak about "hanging out" with some male members of this site? Thread after thread you have the need to toss a gay insinuation in. Funny to some maybe (chicks dig gay guys)...whatever. No phobia here though...Like I said, do what you want. I'll laugh. Nothing against your type in the slightest. Just funny that I'm here and as I'm typing this a trans-parade highlight from this weekend in Toronto was being talked about on the news.
If you didn't catch it the first time, here it is again: I'm 100% in favor of gay rights. I don't see why our country can't give marital rights to married gay couples. I don't think gay is really a choice you make. You're born with it. it has ZERO effect on my life. ZERO. Let 'em march. Let 'em congregate in Provincetown and on Brokeback Mountain. I have absolutely nothing to lose from any of this. I may laugh at it, then I have a snack.

If that was directed at ME then you obviously didn't read the entire thread because I didn't bring up the gay issue, nor did I respond to it until it was directly addressed to me in Uno_up's post. Besides, I hardly think YOU have anything to input regarding "manliness," Ehwmatt. I've seen your scrawny little pencil thin pic, sweetheart, & damned if you don't look gayer then me! So why don't you shut the fuck up or better yet suck my dick.

Look, you enjoy smoking pole that's fine, I ain't gonna stop you. You brought it up with your gay innuendo. I'm tired of trying to be middle of the road with you incorrigible gays that feel the need to broadcast their sexuality and make people feel afraid to say one word against it.

"Pencil thin" is pretty rich, where the fuck did you see my pic? Don't stalk me and beat your meatstalk to a pulp please. I'll take a raincheck on blowing your faggot ass as well.
