"Man In The Mirror". To me, this is one of the best, most self searching songs he's ever written. I look at this video after all these years, and it just amazes me what he accomplished! I can't say he was a saint, because I really don't know how he lived his life. I CAN say that he loved children, AND mankind though, and I think he had a very positive effect on people because of songs like this.

Even if he was a corrupt, terrible person (which I've seen NO evidence to support)... you can't tell me that he didn't make at least one person look at his life after seeing something like this, and make himself be a better person.

I will miss Michael, and as I told my wife tonight (and she agreed....we would have paid $300 per ticket to see him if he came here), that we have missed out on seeing one of the greatest performers of all time, and DEFINITELY the greatest performer that was alive today.

I will never forget him, and it just sickens me to see what happened with his life. Very sad, and I hope he's found some peace. God bless Michael.

Absolutely. Was Michael putting himself in bad situations being around so many children? Well, yes, because he failed to realize that there are scumbag people who would use their own freaking child as a pawn in a scheme to bilk money out of a billionare who has too much trust. Sure as hell doesn't mean he was guilty of anything other than being too trusting of bad people.

And how about the video of his last rehearsal? The man looked really healthy and could still dance a ton. I think when the tox. reports come back, it's gonna be a mess of a scene. I'll bet all of the enablers who were helping Michael "medicate" and were afraid to try and stop it because of the money they were making off of it, will be really nervous.

The problem is many have a lot to say the other way, which now will come on here. I hope not, because it derails the intent of the thread, just like what you guys did.

But I want to make a comment re settling and not going to trial. I was a court reporter in criminal court and have witnessed what children and teens go through in cross-examination on these cases, much less going up against a celebrity with a high-powered lawyer on the stand. More pedophiles get off than are convicted, especially with the better criminal lawyers, and without a lot of corraborating evidence submitted, eyewitnesses. And I've seen the evidence that can't be introduced for one reason or another in these cases that the jury can't see and you can't believe they got off. If your son wasn't anally raped but sodomized, maybe you make a judgment call to not put him through something if you think emotionally he can't deal with it and accept settlement civilly. I'm only addressing that one part when it was said any parent would go to trial, not whether the charges are true or if in this case that was the motivating reason.

Man In The Mirror was certainly powerful. While I'm waiting for Bad and HIStory to ship to me (backordered until July 22nd) I've been spinning Thriller and Dangerous non-stop. It is so amazing how he could communicate certain aspects of humanity in each facet of song.

There is one track from Blood On The Dancefloor that gives me chills. I can't remember the name, but the video was black and white with rain and such.
