What I will say now about the original is that there are two many lense flares. It takes the attention away from the heart, which I think should be the focal point.

First let me preface this by saying I know nothing about art. Having said that, I do agree the original has too many lens flares - that's a just migraine looking for a place to happen. I like the ice-sculpture heart, but it looks a little too much like hard candy. For some reason, I'm thinking stainless steel (with rivets) and maybe a rusty old chain & padlock...don't laugh. I told you I didn't know anything about art.

Thanks for the input Michael, but I really like the name. We spent weeks looking for one, and we both really liked this one. It is SO hard to find something that hasn't already been taken, that it's ridiculous!

What's your target audience: Men or Women? Yeah, yeah....I know....BOTH! Still, which gender do you believe will be MOST interested in your music? If your music is mostly "guy" music, then go with the anatomical. If you're music is mostly "girl" music (you know what I mean) then go with the other heart.

But then again, what do I know? Don't listen to me, Jim. I've often scratched my head wondering WHY Journey chose a scarab. I mean, let's face it..... in their infancy, Journey's music was filled with a lot of "Lovin', Touchin' Squeezin" sappy lyrics & their stage appearances were filled with a lot of (ahem) skin tight spandex pants & so the band's female fans far outweighed their male fans. Yet, Journey chose to go with a scarab for their logo as opposed to a butterfly or a dove or some other feminine-friendly image. Women hate bugs. Who woulda thunk a scarab would have been the way to go??????? I guess the presence of Perry in those painted on pants or Schon & Rolie with their Vlasic pickles could turn any creepy insect into a cute lil' buggie-boo.

Scarabs are pretty..........for dung beatles........

I like the feathery effect. It reminded me of frost on a window pane. Well good luck with your project. Can't wait to see the final product.

That one is cool. I keep picturing a diamond heart, partially encased in rotten, dirty leather straps and rusted, wrought iron buckles. Or gothic ironwork, almost as though the iron is growing up around it and is encasing it. I can't find any image along that line though...

That's cool! I spent so much time researching names, that it'd blow your mind. I looked at "Heart Of Stone" in my search. I thought it would be cool, but just like a MILLION other names...it was taken. I looked at naming the group after one of my songs, but "Eye Of The Storm" was taken too. I also thought Stonehedge, Circle Of Stones, Message Of Stone, etc were cool. I pictured cool artwork for those, but.....ALL taken.

Cold Heart is the only name we could both agree on, and we both really like it. Now if we can just get the perfect album cover....
