Do you remember when I posted about the Gaslight Anthem and said that this is what Springsteen would sound like if he was 20? Well, here they are playing together. Awesome. They also played together at Glastonbury.

Weird seeing a soundalike band with the The Boss right on stage. GA sounds like Bruce gone punk

Here's the studio cut to that tune:

Say his name three times in quick succession and see what happens.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Dude, I saw this video before you posted it!

Thanks. But you will never garner any interest from people on this board for Bruce. They don't like good music.

135,000 at Glastonbury and 85,000 at London is calling. Not too bad for a weekend's work, eh?

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band's "Greatest Hits" is currently at #9 on the pan-European top ten.

LOL, which one? There are 4 GH packages. The last one is garbage, thrown together and sold at gasp, Walmart. He apologized for that snafu as well he should.

Too bad Andrew doesn't "get Springsteen." He gets that fag Springfield, but dismisses the most prolific writer in music history. I guess Bruce should have penned Jesse's Girl to get in AjM's good graces.

I noticed that Coke bottled four eyed ass bandit from Australia hasn't given the new album a review yet. He knows I am waiting in the weeds for that one. LOL, I know it will probably get a 75 and that Journey is always superior blah blah.

What's weird is that in Los Angeles, there are thousands of Filipinos, yet Journey could only muster up two shows at the Greek, one show selling out (5k) the other not quite, yet Bruce goes and sells out two nights of 16k (32k total) at the L.A. Sports Arena. When you see that Iron Maiden sold out the Forum (18k), despite no radio airplay, you realize that Los Angeles definitely follows a different drummer when it comes to music.

...and the amazing thing for me was that even the indie band loving UK press universally agreed he was sensational. Did you hear that he ran over the time limit at Glastonbury and the event organiser got fined by the County. Go Bruce!

They ended up fining him 40,000K. During the show, he mentioned they were going to gt hit with the fine and he said, "I'll pay he fuckin' fine! Give me my Goddamned guitar!"

And to think, they fine the guy for bringing in the most fans. I'd say he brought in more than 40K worth of dollars. To top it off, the Band played London Calling (A Clash song), as well.

Born In The USA is the only Springsteen record I own. I know many consider it a sellout record and they will say he has plenty of greater works in his Discography but that's the album that introduced me to his music and it's my favorite. I will grace you guys with a review one of these days when I'm up to it.

There's a lot of jobsworths over here. I wonder how many people complained that he ran over? Probably none.
