As for Palin I wish she'd move to Michigan and run for governor here. It's hard to believe Gov. Engler had unemployment near 3% years ago.

It's quite evident some things that YoMama did over the past 6 months have had immediate effect....

The right did all the damage, sunshine.

How you doing RWF? Imbibe much yesterday. God knows I did.

Why would I say that? I think the GDP increased every year of Bush's presidency til the '08 campaign started. Are you insinuating that Bush is responsible for Obama spending more than all previous presidents combined? Rick, your party of the little people has both houses and the Presidency, Republicans can't stop anything. No way you can't own it. This is "trickle up poverty" we're experiencing. At least we'll all be equal standing shoulder to shoulder in the unemployment line. Ah, it's Eden!
I suppose it's Bush's fault that the "cap n trade" bill is being passed and is going to double your energy bill too huh, Rick?

For those unaware, that is probably the leading anti-Palin website in existence.
So I guess you are on Soros' payroll too, eh?
ABSOLUTELY....
I was 100% against Sarah Palin (and the fucking idiot who picked her)....during the election. I am a conservative, and I felt that a DisDain/Palin presidency would have destroyed the right FAR more than a YoMama/Bile-man presidency ever could....and I still feel that way.
But the election ended over half a year ago. The left (and the complacent media) never stopped hounding this woman...
So a few days ago, she wants out. Can you blame her? If I had a Frankaspresident.com flash site that was half as visceral as the one designed for palin....and the nastiness was still boiling 7 months after I lost the election, I'd want out too....
Some in this thread have said that it's politics, she has to deal with it.....yep! I agree one hundred percent. But now, she wants out. She wants out of politics.....so turn off the fucking cannons.
Let her go.
Hell, that's what the fucking pinkos wanted....right?
You got what you wanted....yet 99% of those in sitting left and right of the aisle can't deal with that....
Listen, if Sarah Palin uses this scenario as some sort of Political tool/strategy, I will be the FIRST fucking person to pack a 10-foot cannon with buckshot and yell "FIRE!"
But unless that actually happens, why not respect her wishes....let her go home to Wassila and stay out of our way....
Monker wrote:The problem is, this isn't exactly a responsible way of 'getting out'. Quiting a position and making all kinds of statements of a 'higher purpose', and she's doing it to save money, and continuing the BS of being 'non-traditionsl' is completely irresponsible and disrespectful to both the office she help and those in her state she was governing. She deserves the criticism and the questions just as much as anybody else who makes such stoopid decisions so public...especialy if your guess is correct and she is doing it out of self pity and her speach was a bunch of lies being used to distract the public from the truth. Because of how she left office, she has practicaly GAURANTEED that whatever move she makes next is going to be completely scritunized with the 'was it worth quiting early?" question...whether that be senate or the presidency, or being a stay at home mom. She has done this to herself, and she has nobody else to blame.
Voyager wrote:I'd say her politcal career is over with after this betrayal of the voters' will. Can a president of a country step down 18 months early just because he's a lame duck? Well then, it's no different for a governor to do it. She caved under pressures that are common with high profile government, and voters see it for what it is and will remember it in 2012.
strangegrey wrote:Monker, that is ENTIRELY dependent on whether her intent is to return to private life and get the hell out of politics...
If that's the goal, then getting out whenever she wants is fine by me...whether it's now, later or whenever....
The point is, that she's getting out. Let her go. Don't let the door hit her in the ass on the way out...
Everyone's assuming this is a springboard to something else. If that's the case, then I'll join in. but for now, she's been fairly clear that she's just sick of the shit...and wants out. I can't blame her....
I think the public hanging of sarah palin can wait until she announces her next venture....and if it's not the case, it might be far more prudent to just butt the fuck out of her life...

Thanks for straightening me out on the issue, Steve. In a sea of ignorance, you are beacon of enlightenment, blazing a welcomed path amongst the rocks and shoals.
