Poor Brooke is just shaking. She seems to be the most sincere of them all.

Mine, too.
"Smile" was also one of my favorite songs as a little kid. I heard it in a movie and it always stuck with me.
Brooke and Jermaine did beautifully. The family picture of the kids was too sad to see.

It's still surreal.

Um, when you were a little kid, Smile was classified as an "oldie but goldie". :P

She's not appearing. She said Michael wouldn't want her to grieve in such a public place, something like that.

Jermaine has a beautiful voice and what a soulful delivery of that song. I was all teared up.

Jermaine has always been a fantastic singer. i bought his debut album with Whitney Houston's when they came out and the duets they do together are beautiful.

OMG! I can't believe Sheila Jackson Lee is there. For those of you living in the Houston area, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Think - female Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson.

Yeah, and the MLK kids... was there some kind of racial attacks on Michael that they feel the need to speak out against or what? Was Michael even a black person? He looked pretty white to me.

Why can't it just be about Michael and his friends who loved him?

I know this, but give them something in the car... or something... eating at a funeral just seems inappropriate. Could be that I was raised differently.

Jesse has yet to pop up, so the trifecta of political/racial pontificating is not over.
