OT - anyone had experience using free website hosting?

Postby Arianddu » Fri Jul 10, 2009 12:45 am

I'm looking to find a free website host, and Webs (used to be called Freeweb) looks pretty good. Anyone had any experience with them; if so, opinions? Alternatives?

Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Not down under. Ari's a major player.

Sorry to derail Ari. We know you want to know about free server racks.

Hopefully Rick'll be along with the good tech info soon.

Argh!! You mentioned me and racks in the same post. Now I won't be able do anything, waiting to respond when Stevie-Woo makes his obligatory post. ;)
And I'd like to catagorically state that the only MR poster that I know of who lives in the one state where you can legally grow opium poppies is... Lord Wombat himself!

You need to change your user name, Stony, to SmartAlec, you know that?

It's currently full of over 200 bottles of wine, the youngest of which is from 1992. I have a grand master plan to work out way through it to work out what is worth drinking and what is worth tipping straight out. Get to Australia and you are more than welcome to help me.

Now that's done, back to the question at hand - anyone had any experience with this mob, or can suggest another free website host?
