Artists are slow to criticize other artists for whatever reasons. You have any idea how many rock n rollers know about Journey's tape bullshit, and choose to not say anything? They can't be very enthused with Journey and they may in fact have zero respect for them, but it is an unwritten rule to slam your "brothers" in music. Granted Brian May slammed Schon and Friga, but he is in a position to do that type of thing. I am sure he would agree with me on this one, but before you go onstage to sing, you MUST condition your voice, he has said numerous times that he use to gargle with glycerin and lemon before the show and he wouldn't sometimes speak at all before one. So here they are at a parade and I am sure he was talking to people. I am sure there was alot of screaming going on too. So there goes the conditioning. How does one expect a singer to sing in that element without the practice, the gargle and the silence? Lighten up! Yes I am sticking up for him and I am not a loon. I dont know how many of you saw Kevin on the show Dont forget the Lyrics but the guy sucked. I love REO but he just plain cannot sing anymore he even had music behind him and it was awful.If I was Kevin I wouldnt have let them even put the show on the air.
