If you saw the Jackson special on last night, his father told all that his own mother(MJ's grandmother) had the disease and that Michael was the only one so far with it after her. After the patches started and it was looking worse, MJ went to the doctor and then the doctor put him on pills that helped the process by making the rest of his skin match up. No bleaching involved. The pill are given to people with that particular skin issue, to further the process. I have no idea what Joe said they were called, I think he did mention the name, whether or not those pills have any kind of ingredient that is close to bleach, I have no idea. But this white skin was not a bleaching on MJ's part. He didn't take bleach and color his skin. I agree with you.

No, there would be no ingredient close to bleach. That isn't how it works. If the condition is severe, the drug treatment is meant to destroy the remaining pigment to even the appearance.

Some of treatments depends on being able to use UV exposure though, which was a problem for him because of the Lupus. So this was not an easily treated situation for him. Most of what we saw with MJ was intense makeup because he had too many skin problems all at once... scarring from the surgeries, severe acne, vitiligo and lupus.

And I thought I had it bad with all my skin allergies... good lord.
