Revisited the Houston DVD tonight

Since the wife wanted to get some quality
Facebook Farm-Towning in, Bella and I (my 9 yo)
decided it was time to introduce Abby (my 2 yo)
to SMFP and the classic Journey line-up at thier peak...

While Abby seemed to dig it and dance all over, I was still
in awe after all these years of how incredible that line-up
sounded back then! I mean really, does it ever get much better than that?
Hell, the M/F performance alone is worth the price of admission on that one!

The Houston DVD Rocks! That was great that you introduced it to her. Good choice and Mother Father that is one classic song and I love the way he sang that high note. Must have been torture on his chords though, but he did it and we will never forget. As far as playing it here all the time, my son gets annoyed, I tell him to shut his pie hole. I am paying the bills around here and if I want to watch Houston I will watch Houston.

Easy there big fella....There are actually better voices in music. Perry was a unique one for sure but have you ever heard Leanne Rymes or Celine Dion? Yeah, their bitches, but so amazing. As far as dudes go, I do think SP beats Freddie. I think Freddie gets a lot of sympathy votes because he croked(too many choads and cocks I assume).

To put things back on track, WCN and Stay Awhile were the songs I enjoyed most from that DVD. A lot of people forget that Who's Crying was the band's second biggest hit compared to Faithfully which only made it to #12.

Mother Father is my favourite from that DVD. But nearly every song was fantastic anyway... apart form Keep on runnin which always sucks live (apart from when I saw JSS do it... pretty much spot on on the high parts).

I love Farnham. 100% effort every show and even though he over sings a lot, he pours his heart into every note.

I should have said "male vocal in rock/pop history", I agree. Not fair to compare males and females.

I don't know of a BETTER voice. Maybe some almost as good like Farnham, but not better, all things considered.

Freddie was great, but didn't have near Perry's range without using falsetto. Not close.

as good as this DVD is...what's better is my memories of seeing this line-up live! it was simply unbelievable!

Yes, that's right. I know DSB and WCN charted briefly in Europe also. I think Faithfully may have been the last one to dent their charts but I'm not certain.
