Red Rocks tonight

Postby fightingilliniJRNY » Wed Jul 22, 2009 10:20 am

Here's a webcam of the concert venue. It displays a still image every five seconds or so. I would love to see a show at this legendary place sometime. Looks beautiful. Looking forward to the reviews of tonight's show. First one of the tour with Heart.

Side note: Red Rocks is where Deen's drum tech had to play the show for him after Deen became sick in the altitude in 2006 on the Def Leppard tour. I don't want to hear about that again tonight.

I was thinking about that earlier. With some of them having colds, it could be tough going. Even if they get through this show, it's going to take it's toll.

Don't sell Night Ranger short, they'll blow you away. I had a great time seeing them a couple of years ago.

Night Ranger blows Heart away. Ann's got a great voice, but you can't compete with the LOUD double guitar attack, the big harmonies, and the big stadium anthems... no way.

Seeing Night Ranger is what got me into MR back when I was 15! And back into playing guitar... Gillis blew me away that night.

Gillis is a monster guitar player. Someone told me that the pull-off he did in "You Can Still Rock In America" was with 8 fingers.

KOR usually refers to Keep On Runnin', a song Deen has been covering.

It's Strange not having the Review forum at the Official Site. It feels like their tour is part of some type of covert operation. The less people that know, the better.

Yep... 8 finger tapping. Unreal. That little lick amazes me just as much as anything. Plus he's got great skill with the whammy bar.
