The cool, and telling, thing is........This thread, 24 hours, over 5000 views, and any friggin idiot who says that SMFP doesn't matter anymore?

Post any other thread, about any other Journey member, or anything about the band, and see if it gets 5000 views in 24 hours.

It's still very clear who this band is about. ISN'T IT?

Please post a thread on anything Neal or Jon have ever done. EVER. And let's see what kind of response it gets. Anything, your choice.

Blah, blah, blah. It's still all about SMFP. Always has been. Always will be.

Crap, i'm going to have to repost this after that statement:

Anybody (loon or non-loon) in their right mind could reason with themselves through and through concerning what Journey should and should not play live or even re record. But let me ask you this, what if the job had not been given to Perry in (1977 or 78 can't remember ) and was therefore given to another singer, someone else landed the gig. Fast forward to 2009 this date, July 22nd and ask yourself this, would we be arguing or would we even be on this site in gereral. Would there even be a Journey worth giving a dam about and could there have been another singer on this planet who poured his heart and soul into the essence of vocal magic. Im saying there is no way. All those great singers that have come and gone and i just for the life of me can't see those songs being bigger or better than what Perry added to that whole idea they (Journey) intended to do. Maybe MJ singing those songs, but i doubt it. AP does not sound like Perry, at all, he sounds like AP. Same goes for SA, and JSS. They don't sound like Perry and im sure their DNA is their own as well.

We get it mad, you want to lick SMFP's grundle.

Fact of the matter is, SP is such a popular topic because we haven't heard from him in ages. This board is here to talk Journey and with SP being nothing but history at the moment, the topics on the dude are endless. Any of the current band members at this time is just appreciation because they've been out there every year performing, you can only say so much. With Perry, since he is silent, it gives the fans something to talk about and adds to the mystery of his legacy. Look at these pages, we don't know jack shit about the guy, don't have the SLIGHTEST CLUE about ANYTHING but yet we can talk about different variations of what he's doing, or what he isn't doing. It's no surprise, SP will always be a hot debate for Journey fans regardless.

For me, his name annoys the shit out of me. When I see people post pictures of him 4 blocks down crossing a road, I go nuts. When it comes to music, then that's a different story. It's just one big one way street when it comes to Steve Perry, until he comes back. Will that happen? More unlikely, than likely, IMHO.

I can answer that. You wouldn't be arguing maybe, but there would be plenty of loons for the singer that was hired if it hadn't been Perry. I have several bands that I follow and I can tell you on YouTube or their site, those singers have loons and fans who carry on they're the best singer in the world and how they could sing a phonebook and it would be amazing, and no one looks and sings like they do or is as sexy, on and on, and they follow every youtube video. Or even bands I just look up some music on YouTube sometimes, I realize after a while they have their same loons all over posting that they're the best singer and they move them emotionally and they're so hot. I hate to tell you this, that's the way it is for many, many singers of bands and their loons and fans.

Dave Grohl - this guy has some incredible credentials. I've been reading about him online.
He moved from Virginia where he had a studio in his basement and rebuilt his studio in Los Angeles.
It's a multi million dollar studio where lots of musicians are working their magic. Found a couple online pics
of Studio 606. One of Dave taken in May 2009 and another of the studio from a different view.
There is a lot online about Dave's work and his biography.

True indeed.
SO very true. Right HERE on this site there are DeYoung loons or DeYoungians or whatever they are who think perry can't hold Dennis' codpiece.

I laugh at them all, it's 6 in one 1/2 dozen in the other ALL fantastic singers.

I have to agree that no one could ever have made it for Journey than Steve did. When he came along it was like magic. Everyone who has tried to replace him since, is just that...trying. No one can do it like he can. He wasn't one of the founding members of Journey, but he sure as hell took them skyward. With him, they were on top, but now with out him, they aren't. I'm eager to hear anything that he comes out with. When he is ready, so will I be.
"So we have been together for a long time haven't we? I just want to say that you have always been the Faithful ones" Steve Perry

Damn, happen to know his waist size & inseam too? Howabout his BMI or blood sugar numbers?
how about his lenth and girth? does it lean to the left or to the right?

So , if it comes out that he sits down when he pees, are you going to be disappointed?

Not really, I'm in love with his voice not the man. I have no desire to meet him or anything else. Just kidding around.

I didn't think that was THE Dave Grohl they meant either Deb. The Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters is one of the founders of Studio 606 and here his picture:

Also here is a tour of the LA Studio 606 by Dave Grohl himself here in this youtube video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-A-0HerEVw

Of course Deb, you and I could have our Dave Grohls and our Studio 606s confused with someone else. It's happened here before. :?

More on inside Studio 606 here:

http://www.fooarchive.com/606/index.htm

I do not know. Found the pic online. I just looked at other pics and his tattoos look different. I'll go back and find the website where
it had this pic posted. It is the Foofighters Dave, I'm reading about.
