Hi! You chose a great name in my opinion! Welcome - be prepared to be ignored and villified! All the best.

Hi there ROR92

Gord and me are amongst the few that are of the view that ROR is Journey's best album. Where do you stand on that?

----------------
Now playing: Mitch Malloy - Mission Of Love

Boys, boys. Take it easy. It's a little soon for a litmus test, isn't it? ROR92 hasn't even declared his/her Loon status yet. Give him/her a chance to get settled in...sheesh.

I'm gonna take a wild guess but I'm thinking ROR92's LOON status falls within the Augeri time frame based upon his signature pic.

You have to be a Perry Loon to love ROR.

Hey ROR92, post a link to some of your videos!

You know what grates on my nerves every time I hear clips from the ROR tour? The damn song tempos. They are farking ridiculous!!! For Steve to claim that he loves these songs so much and cherishes the "integrity" of them... he sure ruined them for that tour (in my eyes that is). It's a shame, because the Frontiers tour was awesome. That AND ROR was a great album. It would have been nice to have heard those songs played at the correct BPM.

I'm sure I'm alone in this thought, but as a musician it just really irritates me. Sorry... carry on!

Actually, I have a show from Milwaukee on the ROR tour. It was one of the early shows, and ya know what, the tempo was the same as it was on the albums! They weren't 100mph, they were just regular tempo. It was a very nice change of pace. No pun intended. lol

I'd love to hear that. Every boot of the ROR tour has been as 100mph tempo.

Bugs me a lot too... some sound ok, like Suzanne, but Ask The Lonely sounds RIDICULOUS, for example. Most of the songs do NOT benefit from the rushed tempo in any way

Happy To Give is probably the only song I don't really care for at all on RoR... to me it just goes nowhere. Deen's pretty good on it though. I love Deen on some of the songs, like Patiently and Where Were You, but on some of them his voice is a little too thin - I don't really like his take on IBAWY, for instance.
