I was thinking that in another thread, when Scandal got 30 minute stage time before Greg Kihn came on to open for Journey. I thought they were alright but I didnt appreciate Patty Smyth until well after the fact. To think, she actually turned down the job to replace Roth in Van Halen.

A guy not on my list but a great guitar player is Boz Scaggs. I saw him 20+ years ago and being new to his music, didn't really pay attention to his muscianship. I got to see him again a few months ago and have to say that this guy can play. He has some serious Blues talent inside him.

Eddie definitely beat his own drum. Going after Patty, teaming up with Michael Jackson, no one can say he wasn't a risk taker.
