A fan review from Journey's site:

Monday, July 27, 2009 - 11:52 am - JourneyOn4Ever

WOW! What an incredible show in Boise last night! Heart & Journey both were absolutely fantastic. That was only my second time to see Heart as I saw them last year in Seattle with Cheap Trick & Journey. Now on what is turning out to be the hottest day of the year here in the Northwest we begin the 550 mile drive back home to Seattle! Totally worth every mile. This was my second show to see Arnel and I must say that his energy on stage brings back memories of Journey concerts gone by with Steve Perry. He is a very animated individual! Deen, you must have read the message on your blog from me. Thanks for your contribution on the vocals. You're amazing! Ross was in traditional form and provided the thunder that makes things happen. Neal provideds the lightning with every lick he plays. And Jon is just the greatest all around musician on keys and guitar. The set list was very similar to the show in Seattle last fall. This makes over twenty Journey concerts I have been to since my first one in 1979 and I must say that some things definately improve with age. This band is one of the best live bands ever here on planet earth. If you have never been to a Journey show I would highly suggest that you do. Worth every penny! What an amazing venue the Taco Bell Arena is. This was my first time there. Here's wishing the band a safe ride for the rest of the tour! I'm looking forward to the next album and tour all ready. We're just finishing up with lunch and now begins the incredible journey back home. Thanks guys for still hanging out with your fans after all these years!!!

Heart and Journey July 26 at Taco Bell Arena
by Amy Atkins

Journey also put on a helluva show. The audience tolerated tracks from the band's new release, Revelations, but lost their damn collective mind from the first chords of "Open Arms," "Separate Ways," "Faithfully" and, of course, "Don't Stop Believin'," which is, I believe, the most downloaded single track in iTunes history.

The one glitch in the night was that guitar player Neal Schon still believes that every song must have a guitar solo. He's an incredible player, but watching him was like peeking through a keyhole; he was so engrossed in his own self-pleasure that, at times, the audience seemed incidental.

New frontman Arnel Pineda, on the other hand, was so into the crowd, that at one point he joined them in the front row. His high-energy antics were as much a visual pleasure as his clear, strong voice was aural. Not that they've asked me, but I think Journey made a good choice in the young singer.

Jonathan Cain is still a fine keyboard/piano player (mullet and all) and bassist Ross Valory is still bassist Ross Valory. The standout of the night was drummer Deen Castronovo whose version of "Mother, Father" was stunning. Here's where I may lose you, but on that song, Castronovo's vocals could rival Pineda's or Perry's. Sorry purists, but it's true.

It is the most downloaded catalog track (songs available before the digital era). Overall, it's the 42 most downloaded song with 2.5 million D/Ls. The most downloaded song, Low by Flo Rida just went over 5 million D/Ls.

This misinterpretation of the facts seems to be a common mistake, even promoted inadvertently on Journey's own website.

When you read things like that, it makes you wonder why the band would be in such a hurry to put out a new album, especially without the killer royalty rate they got from Wal-Mart. I dare say, it's true for the majority of older bands and probably one of the reasons Foreigner hadn't released anything until they got their own Wal-Mart deal. Without an exclusive deal through the big box stores, it's probably financially better to just tour an extra 4 months each year, rather than spending money on pushing an album that might not give you a good return monetarily.

From every review I read, I get the impression that Journey could drop the three Rev songs from the set list and they wouldn't be missed.
I think NWA is a great tune but as long as they play BGTY later in the set, you wouldn't really be missing anything as both songs are very similar.
