As a Packer fan, I for one am delighted Farve is staying retired. He should have made that decision a year ago and avoided a lot of hard feelings and angst for the fans who loved him.Re: the vicodin remark, I think it was a cheap shot. But you're a master of the cheap shot SJ.

As a Lions fan, I too am glad to see him stay retired. Man, what that guy has done to the Lions over the years just ain't right. So yeah, good riddance. Happy Retirement, Brett...(ass)![]()

I loved Brett Favre as a football player and I loved the Brett Favre that took vicodin like they were PEZ. I respected that guy. The non-vicodin taking Favre is a pansy, bi-polar, mind-switching, baby. Weird situation.

Those guys need to drink and pop pills to fuckin live man... they get the SHIT beat out of them. Bernie Kosar is a drunk (great guy though, really truly a nice guy), but I'm sure he drinks because he can barely even walk when he gets up in the morning after being a slow QB behind a shit line.

It's a sad day that Brett is done. With all of the boring, average QB's playing today, he will be missed.
There are only 2 great QB's left playing now that Brett is done. Peyton and Brady. The rest are average or below.

Drew Brees might have something to say about that.
"Brees has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times in his career - with the Chargers in 2004 and the Saints in both 2006 and 2008. He was named the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year in 2004 and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2008.
Brees finished 15 yards short of the NFL record for passing yards thrown in a single season set by Dan Marino in 1984, nevertheless, he finished the season with 5,069 yards and became only the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 5,000 yards in a season. He also passed for 300 yards ten times during the season, tying Rich Gannon's 2002 record. He was named FedEx Air Player of the Week for his performances during weeks 8 and 12".
Peyton Manning will most like break every or almost every QB record in the book.....But one series knock is that in 9 seasons he went 1 and done in the playoffs. I love the guy though...He and Brady are QB Royalty in the NFL.

P.S,. As a Vikings fan Im not upset about Farve not playing for us . Wouldnt have done us any good.
