I can find many more perfect ones than you can not perfect ones. And by the way, the Graham thing wasn't bad at all. The songs were LOWERED, but still sung flawlessly for the key they were done in. SP hadn't sung live in 5 years and they did that show quickly, with no rehearsal.

At the end of the day, it takes two singers (one with stepped down vocals) to replicate what I got with one guy when watching two shows during the Escape tour. All this does is show how good the original artist was at his peak. it doesn't matter to me what PERRY CAN'T DO. All I care about is what I got for my money, an almost pitch perfect performance that was as close to the recorded version as you can get. Obviously not a lot of people here saw Perry at his finest so, for them, this new stepped down multiple singer used to carry on the legacy is fine. It's your money, as long as you enjoy what you are getting, then nothing else matters.

It's strange to say Arnel can't sing a certain song, and then turn around and say he's never sang it. How do you know he can't sing it if he's never sang it?

If he could sing it, doesn't it stand to reason that they would want their lead singer sing the song? I mean Deen is a great singer, but why hire a lead singer if he has to do many songs?

Well if he does such a bang up job...then one would deduce that he would be the one who would sing it......but it helps to share the load.....two singers for the price of one...and Perry did not share the load with anyone. So I don't see a double standard here....but I am SURE you will find a way to twist my words....Hunny

Considering that Steve Augeri used to sing it, but when his vocals started to go out on him, they had Deen start singing it. It became his song to sing, so they let him keep it. Why make Arnel sing it if the fans want Deen to sing it?

When Arnel was introduced as the Golden Boy that would bring back Journey's legacy sound, we should have read the fine print.
Note: Performances of songs in original key is valid only for a period of one year, after which time, all songs may be sang at one half key lower than the original. Restrictions apply but are not limited to the following songs which shall be known as Deen's songs:
Mother, Father
Keep On Running
I'll Be Alright Without You
Still They Ride
Higher Place
After The Fall
(We reserve the right to add songs to the Deen's songs legacy category at any time)

Well, my point is that he FREAKING DID sing it. We have proof of that. What's YOUR point. Arnel can't and never did.

OK, lets do this. Hows about You post your video of Perry doing this song live!

Oh right on schedule......that had to be posted here again!!! Good Lord you need to get some new material...that Graham line has been worn out here!!

Brought to you by the greatest live rock vocal performance of all-time.

I can find many more perfect ones than you can not perfect ones. And by the way, the Graham thing wasn't bad at all. The songs were LOWERED, but still sung flawlessly for the key they were done in. SP hadn't sung live in 5 years and they did that show quickly, with no rehearsal.

There it is....number one on my list.....and yes there are many more perfect ones than non perfect ones...so who really cares anyway!

OH yeah we can't compare this to AP.......he does not sing it

and then there are these........ Steve Perry High Notes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51vJElLyOL4

Perry can't sing it either anymore! So whats your point?

People can dog on JSS but when they tried that stepped down shit with him, it didn't last very long. Journey isn't Cold Play, stop it already, Neal. You're better than that.

Yea, right.

So just when would Perry have had a chance to sing that song live, considering he hasn't perferomed live since it was written? That was a silly request.

Find me a video of Arnel singing Homeade Love in the original key, with all of those runs up into the stratosphere.

Arnel is a replacement, plain and simple. He isn't one-eighth of SP. Any utterance to the contrary is complete an utter pinoy hero-worship. He is a replacement singer on a band that hasn't been relevant in 13 years, if not 26. Great for nostalgia, great for an excuse to get together and drink, have fun with your friends....but if you are looking for a 'Revelation' in the genre of melodic rock.....look elsewhere.

Arnel isn't even singing the songs from last year's album in original key. What are they saving his voice for? Show # 500 with the band? Ain't going to happen. It took Perry four tours to get to 500 shows, that's over 100 concerts a year. With the band's pared down schedule, unless Arnie is singing until he's fifty with the band, forget it.
Let the boy sing. You know he hates this half note shit as much as everyone else does.
