A friend texted me the following message:

" OMG, I was sitting right behind Steve Perry at the ballgame tonight and I was listening to him talking to this guy next to him with a straw cowboy hat. At first they were laughing and pointing at some crazy weirdly dressed women going by, then the conversation turned to Journey. I heard Steve Perry say that he really likes Arnel's voice and that his favorite, newest Journey song is Turn Down The World Tonight. The guy next to him goes....really? Steve said, really! I think it's the best song they've come out with in years and
Arnel really puts it in a way you can feel. The guy was kind of shaking his head, but then asked, what if that was a song of your era with Journey? SP said, had that song been out when I was still with the band, it would have probably been a smash hit all over the world....you know, MTV, VH1 and all that crap. We'd have had a music video of it for sure. You mean one of those lacey negligee videos? Yes, and probably with two girls....he smiles. So, askes the cowboy...do you think the band has any more spark left in them? Yeah, they've got spark...but...well, we'll leave it at that. What do you think for the future of the new lead singer....Arnel? Keep an eye on him, this kid is gonna be big. He looks a bit like me in retrospect, but....hahaha, he's probably not so tainted.....yet. Seriously, he seems like a very genuine good guy. "

Anway, something happened for, the crowd started cheering and I had to remember why I was here.
